The character of Col. Kurtz in the novel was changed to Col. Curtis for the movie so the audience wouldn't think it was a reference to the Apocalypse Now character, which it is in the novel.

BTW - First, I pm'd her telling her for sure that you and I are two different people. Then, just be before I left, I pm'd her to let her know that I do, in fact, play the 'Jibbles' character and I'll deny it upside down and backwards if she ever goes public.
