Byrce you don't know jack shit about most of the posters who left Wordforge and came over here.

If you knew you'd understand that the people complained only when TPTB at Wordforge fucked up. Notice how the board members were not complaining the last few months? It was because TPTB didn't fuck up.

Then Volpone asks for Hood (along with others) to be unbanned and not only does it get rebuffed but it is done in that arrogant "Eliteforge" manner we've all come to know and love. (NOT!)

I don't know all the details of WF history and the entire backstory - hell, I am still not sure who exactly makes up "eliteforge" - but from what I have seen so far I disagree strongly with Lanzman's attitude, and I think it's a very very bad omen if this is how he intends to run the board from now on. Like a little tin-pot fascist dictator wannabe.

And over there I have said several times how I think he should give into this demand/request.

I also have made it known that I'm not picking up the torch for Hood, but I think Lanz is wrong on this one.

(I also do think some perople here may be taking this too far as well, to say the least. But that's just my limited opinion.)

Unfortunately, I think for both sides now it's become a matter of ego, of pride, and nobody wants to be seen as the weak one, or the one who gave in...but I think that in the interest of saving the board, Lanzman should swallow his pride and roll the hard six on this one - for the sake of keeping the board alive. (After all, what's the point in "winning", if there is no board left?)

I wish Lanz could give the board to someone like Tamar...or it should be paid for and run by comittee or sonmething...I dunno.

And btw, yeah, that is exactly the reason why it doesn't sit well with me - Lanz' "because I said so and that's why" attitude.

That's bullshit.

I'm still amazed that people seem surprised that he handled this in the way he did.

From what I've seen of him through the years, this is exactly how I'd expect him to behave.

I don't think I really have an opinion of him either way, for some reason.

There are a lot of posters, and I have trouble remembering them all (except some like Mewa, Flow, Lethe, Tamar, Dicky, Garamet, etc...that stick out or post a lot - or both) but I don't think Lanz has made much of an impression on me either way. Maybe I need to read through some old posts, and I'll remember how I felt about his stuff. I know I have read his stuff before and probably dialoged with him a bit, but for some damn reason I don't get any immediate impression of him when I read his name.

And now, he isn't posting at all from what I can see...

Yeah, but you are here spending a lot of time and energy (and spawning a lot of posts) all about this thing you claim not to care about.

It's like when someone whining about rep claims that that "really just don't care about rep" - when it's kinda obvious that they do or they wouldn't bother to whine about it.

Anyway, I don't see what's so bad about admitting that you care!? You feel like your internet home has been taken over by a fascist landlord who doesn't give a shit about your opinions and feelings.

That would piss me off too.

P.S: Cass says "hi", and that she doesn't have an account anymore but she's keeping you in her thoughts. And she may be lurking here, I dunno... So, should I tell her you said "hi" back, and "all my love"? :P


(Btw, I gather that Cass was in control of the board once, and some shit like this happened....something about her abusing her authority or some such? Or, well, it was her's to use, I guess, but I take it she was just being a Nazi douchebag or something...? I should ask her about it sometime. Wow, so who hasn't run the board at one time or another!?)
