I just saw this on Twitter and came directly here to post it myself. :yes:
 
I thought the remark was fairly armless.
 
Realistically any episode of his show has five or more comments that could make it onto that account.
 
To top it all off its made up, that area is local to me, and the clearance between the river and bridge is considerable, even when the river is at its highest.
 
I was rewatching some series 1 of I'm Alan Partridge and suddenly found Ben somewhat familiar and couldn't place it beyond the show, so quick Google-Fu, and it turns out he went on to play Trent Crimm in Ted Lasso. I don't know if I'm just slow on the uptake, but this was somewhat surprising to me and makes me feel really old.

Anyway, I felt the need to share this important revelation, and now that I have, I can continue my morning in peace.
 
I did not know that and would never have made the connection, but he is doing vaguely similar looks in both images so maybe I should have.
 
Sad to hear of the death of the guy who played "Porn Legend" Glen Ponder.
