Apparently she's in most of the season -- she plays Joan Clayton. I guess last night was her first appearance.
 
Yeah, she was great. Maybe she'll be in the witch woman's flashbacks, since they were in the same coven. ALSO I agree about the witches being better villains, they are creepy as fuck.

AND ALSO Eva Green was lovely.

I could watch a whole episode of Frankenstein and Vanessa shopping and his bumbling "but my cousin DEFINITELY ISN'T a girl I killed then resurrected" statements. But didn't Vanessa meet Billie last season and won't she recognise her?

Yeah, Vanessa definitely met Lily (whatever her name was last season). I loved the conversation Frankenstein had with Lily while she was modelling the clothes.
 
He probably doesn't know it, I can't imagine he would have chosen her if he knew she was Ethan's girlfriend... or did he? I can't remember if he found her, or if it was the Creature.
 
According to a Penny Dreadful wiki, her name was Brona Croft, and it was Victor who found her body. Now I remember her dying in the street, so I guess that's where he found her.

So Vanessa totally didn't recognize Lily, but SHE SHOULD HAVE. People don't become unrecognizable when they get their hair cut.

I really love the conversations Vanessa has with the Creature.
 
Wow, Victor is kind of a dick once you go out in public with him! I wonder if Dorian will ever mention that he recognizes her. He knows something is up.

Is that creepy dude with the crime scene thing going to imprison the Creature in his basement? FUCKFACE HE WILL KILL YOU IMO.
 
Yeah, I thought this one was a bit dull, but I guess they're building up to the big thing.
 
Wow, Eva Green wasn't in the episode at all and I missed her, but I thought the entire thing was really great.

Fucking Billie Piper was amazing! WHEN HAS ANYONE EVER SAID THAT? She was good. I love that she figured out she's an undead monster on her own, and then totally fucked with The Creature's head for a bit before flinging him across the room and then seducing him with her murderous plans.

Sir Malcolm finally became himself again. I'm not sure why he would go try to face down the witches on his own, except the plot needs him to. I wish they'd give us some backstory for Sembene. I hope Sembene doesn't die.

Yeah that was the best acting I've ever seen Billie Piper do. She rose to the quality of the material so well done to her! Timothy Dalton was also great, as always. I wouldn't be surprised if we got Sembene flashbacks in the finales and he does something important.

Of course I looked at the tumblr tag and it was just a load of people complaining that they killed the trans character. SIGN OUR PETITION AND MAYBE JOHN LOGAN WILL BRING HAVE BACK (never mind that the whole season has already been filmed obviously.) I don't think people on tumblr understand how to watch tv show. They get so caught up in their "ships" and "faves" that they can't rationally understand writing choices.
 
I hope Sembene isn't dead, even though he looked pretty dead. Maybe he'll turn into a werewolf too! I liked it when Hecate went backwards through the mirror. NEVER TUST A BLIND GIRL. Billie to be the big bad next season?
