Philosophy...

Just you all wait until 'Gear comes back, I tell you what.

"Put the world's greatest philosopher on a plank that is wider than need be; if there is a precipice below, although his reason may convince him that he is safe, his imagination will prevail."

-Blaise Pascal

Philosophy (at leat to me) has in a way, served as a very valuable tool or guideline to help many keep their morals intact..

One of my favorite philosophies is one quoted from the late German Philosopher Fredrich Nietzche (check spelling)

There is no teacher greater than experience, there is no punisher greater than fate, for fate is a patient mistress, but she forgets no one

But, philosophically speaking, the Emperor might be entirely comfortable with that; and then what would you have accomplished? :P
I really do enjoy talking with you. When it's you. ;)

In any event, the Emperor has every right to comfortably prefer lack of clothing. He DOES NOT have the right, however, to try to convince others he IS wearing clothing. That is deceitful.

I like this. A lot.

What if he's wearing clothing that you're too blind to see?

I heard about a jacket made entirely of metaphor, stitched together with allegorical thread.

That might be sort of hard to see.

Like out current POTUS seems to be wearing the clothing of an elected leader of a republic nation, yet has declared he will bypass our Constitution and Congress armed with pen and phone?

What is he *really* wearing?

It take some kind of skill to make this thread about Obama.

You people are a special kind of creep.

The same fabric every President since the dawn of the republic has worn, called "rhetoric". It helps a little if you understand that it's breathable.

You're old enough to have voted for Nixon, aren't you?

Nixon? Not quite. Reagan. Second term.

Obama's over reach is becoming more and more blatant, to the point where traditionally leftist media has begun to turn on him.

When he tells Congress to ignore their constituents (in essence removing our Constitutional right of representation) in favor of a foreign civil war *he* supports, yeah, I have a problem. A big one.

We (here in the US) used to have a lot of very good TV shows that were all based on phlosophy.

Shows like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Night Gallery ect.. were all based on some type of moral phlosophy

Those that LIVE by the sword, shall DIE by the sword...

Life is just a circle, everything you do comes right back to you...

What you reap, you will eventually sow...

They all told stories and gave examples of how NOT to live, as well as provided examples of the consequences of those that chose to anyway, so the audience could learn from the characters mistakes and carry these values into their own daily lives
