Ok, try one more thing. Let's see if this works.
Reach down under the desk and locate the cord that runs from the back of the computer to the plate on the wall. Disconnect the plug from the out let. The screen from the computer will go dark but that's ok. It's a kind of power save thing that also helps to extend the life of your computer. Trust me, it works.
Now, when the screen goes dark, drop the cord on the floor and go outside. Lock the door behind you as you don't want anyone to disturb your computer during this complicated proceedure.
Now, pick a direction and run as fast and as far as you can. Don't look back and don't return to your computer for say, 6 months. By the time you get back, it will be ready to go again.
