So, what happened to WF?

Possibly, but there was no one to notice that.
 
Well. Everything to be said has pretty much been said. I was going to point out that a server rebuild should have at least some advance notice for a planned outage and if it was an unplanned outage, rather than try and bluff that it was meant to happen you're better off just owning up that the server crashed unexpectedly. But it looks like that ground has already been covered.

For the record, this was why the Hood rebellion worked. The board was crashing and being buggy enough that people were frustrated and had no choice but to join the Resistance. If everything had been running smoothly I'd have been over here barking at airplanes pretty quickly.*









*This is a gross simplification and not entirely true, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :S:
 
I know shit about Tech and all of this came together quickly. From finding out what exactly has been slowing us down to implementing a solution was a couple of days.

Christ...there is nothing some of you won't bitch about.

Psst...it's the internet...I am sure you can find something else to do while the board is fixed. If you can't exist without WF to the point you have to cry while it's in the shop...well, then there is probably nothing we can say that will satisfy you. :shrug:
 
I really don't.

The technical aspects of the board are something I don't delve into very far....for all our sakes. :lol:

O2C and Kyle are very competent though and I am sure it won't be any longer than necessary. Hopefully very soon!!

Meanwhile, we can always steal the cookies and tea here. Heck..a Megatron Mom's thread TK edition might be fun as well. ;)

You all knew about this well before Sunday. Notice has been posted in the past. Why not now?

People like WF. Shocking I know. But we do.

Clean install and restore. What am I missing here? It can't take forever to restore the database, can it?

I tried to hang at TBBS, but that place is a fucking zoo. After an hour of posting, I realized it was the same 5 posters going berzerk.

Seriously, can we put the board back up?
 
O2C has the database back-ups and he's having problems. We could put the board back up, but it wouldn't be Wordforge, it'd be a blank BBS.
 
Well Nick is back. Maybe he has a spare database. Of course if they went that course that would be pretty much the end of the Teal Colored Reign of Terror and Lanzman would have to be permabanned...:bailey:
