I want to smell dark matter
They've been filming in Glasgow for a couple of weeks and there's lots of fan videos out there showing stuff, so Sony have released a behind the scenes video. It's quite a smart move as it means you get to see his new suit early and Tom Holland being nice to children and stuff. Movie doesn't come out for nearly a year though.

 
They never film marvel films in hull, We've been dining out on that one fools and horses episode for 20 years.

If they come over and drive me to the set, maybe (also, Zendays is the one driving (not really, I respect her as a person.))
 
Considering how much is done in front of a green screen these days it was pretty cool to see them doing practical web swinging with all the explosions and stuff
 
It helps that they have a Spidey who loves doing stunts and gymnastics and all those kinds of spankable talents he displays.
 
The previous director didn't want to do practical web-swinging because he thought it looked bad, but the new director thinks he can make it work I guess.

I was in Glasgow the other day and they still had the street signs up for Manhattan. I hear they’re filming more on Friday.
 
They need to do one with Venom. Just so it can star Tom Holland and Tom Hardy.

It's sad they never made "Avengers: A Plethora of Chris'" Oooh. "Avengers: Chris' on Infinite Earths."

I loved watching Black Lightning. Never knew the actor's name that played Tobias. He'll make a great Tombstone.

My son went with his friends this morning, too cool to go with his old man, might see it next week.
 
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) - It's good. I think the best of Tom Holland's Spider-movies, and definitely his best performance. He definitely feels like an adult now and delivers a performance with emotional heft. Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Berthnal are also very strong and always good to watch. It's pretty long but never felt boring to me.

His costume looks really good, like you can tell Holland's actually in it and acting through it. New York is a character again in a way it hasn't felt like since the Raimi movies and there's some nice "you mess with Spider-Man, you mess with New York!" type moments that tug on the HEARTSTRINGS (what are heartstrings, really.) Action all looks good, there's no "fighting an invisible plane at night" type stuff (maybe the fight with Scorpion is slightly murky.) The fight with The Hand was really cool. Definitely try to keep Destin Daniel Cretton because he delivers on the visuals and the acting.

Punisher is so much better here than in the Disney+ special and gets some of the funniest moments. The part with him waving to the crowd wearing the Spider-Man mask was really sweet. Punisher SHOULD be used like this where you have an idealistic hero pushing back on his sociopathy and not just him gunning people down while going "RRRRRRR!" Florence Pugh is always fun.

It was nice seeing the proper Banner Hulk again, though he's the most superfluous of the "guest stars."

Sadie Sink makes a great Jean Grey (yes that's who she's playing we all knew it) but I couldn't help feel like the way she's defeated/reasoned with is too similar to Thunderbolts. I mean it's a psychic plane therapy session with part of New York under the control of the villain, that's the same thing! But both scenes are done well in their respective movies and Sink, Holland and surprise Marisa Tomei really bring it here.

Peter tells Jean she's "not a killer" and I'm sure that's the intention but she did throw a guy in front of a taxi, drive a tank through New York and blow up buildings. She at least seriously injured some people!

The part where Pete apologises to MJ for kissing her when she was mind controlled was a nice mature moment.

I would probably have liked a bit more of characters like Scorpion and Tombstone getting in Spidey's way rather than all being dealt with in the opening montage (and that fight where Scorpion is possessed.)

Cinema was packed for early on a Sunday so this is going to make all the money.

So yeah it's definitely worth seeing.
