Staff overhaul!

We have elected to reorganize the staff, shrinking it to a size that should be sufficient to cover the board for the foreseeable future. To do this, I have accepted resignations from Alphaman, evenflow, and Mrs. Albert. Bailey, Clyde, and Paladin will be promoted to Super Moderator and will join Lanzman and thelurker in covering all of the board’s fora. This change will help us cover the broadest range of times zones across the globe and should provide some sort of minimal moderator presence around the clock.

As always, we will go forward with this plan and hope for the best. But, if in the future we need to have another reorganization to meet the board’s needs, we will do so. Also, we will be removing the Observer’s access to The Shelter pending an overhaul of their system. Details of which are still to be determined.

I think it's a step forward, if those listed are the only ones who have any desicion making power or direct input into board running matters.

I hope it's not just paying lip service to appease the detractors and the resigned mods still are there at the hub of the wheel, just without pips and thread moving ability, as that changes nothing. I suppose only time will tell us that.

Seeing a newly registered dual (Or person, maybe) called 'The Warden' reminds me of that iffy little registration problem. I wonder whose paw he greased to get in the same day.

Anyway, after seeing faisent take another stand against the PTB I have to ask myself why Elwood would get his panties in such a twist about a 'leak' which he first mentioned, then completely blew up into making everyone think people were concerned about that as opposed to the gul fiasco.

Notice how masterfully it was played. Instead of simply mentioning faisent and letting him defend himself, Elwood was talking about 'leaks' and "sidelined and no longer in a position of influence" (like it's the Kremlin). And now it's all yesterday's news.

BTW, what the hell is the problem in fixing registration? Did these mods resign en masse?
