Stargate Universe

Oh yeah... that was weird. They were HUGE and POINTY and I didn't get what the big deal was about the guys "perving" on her with the camera ball when she seemed quite happy to stand around there in front of everyone as she complained.

They cut the nipple shot here, but we did see her after.

Still I wouldn't mind seeing more of lieutenant big knockers.

I didn't think this one was as good. There seemed to be a lot of moments when nobody was saying anything and just kind of looking at each other with TENSE LOOKS. I noticed this because I could hear the clock ticking REALLY LOUDLY on the wall. The videos to home (or whatever they were) didn't add much either and didn't really reveal anything about the characters (most were just "I'm 29 and I don't want to be here!")

I liked the Rush actually felt a bit bad after his breakdown and seemed to maybe kind of like the Scarlett Johansson girl a bit (I can't decide if she's hot or not...probably is.) Maybe they made him a SUPER ASSHOLE in this one so that when he goes back to being a regular asshole it'll be more tolerable.

Okay, so this week's episode ended in exactly the way everyone predicted, but I still loved it. The writing of the characters was as good as ever. I liked that we were lead to think we'd misjudged Rush, only for a seed of doubt to be planted at the end. Not sure why he'd really have let the people go off in the shuttle if he knew the truth, but maybe he'd have some twisted logic. Less mouths to feed, maybe, but also less trained personnel.

The Eli/Scott/Summer Glau wannabe love triangle thing is a bit soppy, but if it was going to happen, at least it's with characters that are watchable.

Good to see Ming Na finally get something to do and we had the lesbo thing confirmed.

Thought I saw Jammer from BSG on the shuttle, but might've been imagining things.

They made the angry black guy (Greer) less of an arse this week. It was good when he hit the soldier who steals food.

Yeah it was pretty good. They couldn't go smashing the Destiny into a sun anyway, then the show would have been over. I doubted Dr Rush right from the start because there is no way he'd go read a book instead of working on the ship right til the last second. I kept thinking WTF HE'S READING? WHY ISN'T HE SHOUTING FOR PEOPLE TO LEAVE HIM ALONE WHILE HE SOLVES ALL THE PROBLEMS?!!! lol

Good point. I thought he was just resigned to the fact that the ship was out of control and they couldn't do anything about it, but yeah, it would be out of character for him to sit and read a book.

The show should get better now, they can concentrate on exploring more. Hopefully they'll find a planet with water soon.

I think that's in the next episode. The titles so far have been Air, Darkness and Light. Presumably they'll have a big fire in a few weeks as well. Um... then they'll find Earth?

The only logical course of action is to demand that all other research be diverted to human cloning.

I liked it, though. They seem to like having cliffhangers at the end of every episode, so I half expected Rush to say the water was depleted "DUN DUN DUN!", and instead there was that intriguing question from Young.

I think the next episode is called Water.. DID SOMEONE SAY THAT ALREADY? Anyway, Young was trying to be nice to Rush there at the end, but Rush wasn't having THAT. I bet he let them think the ship was going to crash into the sun so they'd have less mouths to feed BUT he did figure out the communications thingy real fast. I DON'T KNOW.

Rush would be a complete idiot if he let the only person with medical training leave the ship indefinitely. He also risked Eli leaving and he seems to appreciate Eli from time to time. Rush did not know, of this I am sure.

Rush seemed genuinely surprised when they didn't all die (and he was on his own in that scene.) And if his plan was to strand everyone on the shuttle for some EVIL reason, why did he come up with the way to rescue them?

Its good, but I hope they change teh format a little soon.

Oh no, the destiny is heading straight for that water planet!

Phew, we passed straight through it, and collected enough water to drink for years, yay!
