I think he was just being fake nice. Like when he sent the two guys off to work on shield repair instead of the drone because they were the best suited for it. And then Eli commented on him being nice and he said he was just getting them out of the way so him and Eli could get some real work done.
 
Another pretty good episode, though it did cover some very familiar scifi ground. The whole way through it was just a question of which old Star Trek episode's ending they would use.

Sudden turnaround in Telford's character so we'd be ok with them killing him off? I thought he was good now that he'd been unbrainwashed, but they made him an arse again by possibly causing everyone's deaths. And the death itself was pretty predictable as soon as the reference was made to the power surging through the broken maguffin generator. I think the writers have shot themselves in the foot by putting Telford back on Earth again, but I suppose they have their reasons. Remember what a relief it was when we knew they wouldn't have a reason to use the stones every week? Well forget it.

I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened to future Rush.
 
WELL, I think the deal with Telford was that he somehow figured out that future Rush caused it all to happen because he didn't want the Destiny's mission to end. OR SOMETHING. David Blue said "pay attention" on twitter, but I don't know what he was talking about.
 
Yeah, Telford was very suspicious, but I couldn't figure out why exactly. It wasn't in Rush's interests to kill everyone, though he could've caused the wormhole to destabilise, thinking that Young would call an abort. And then maybe after that it continued to collapse by itself.

One thing I didn't get was why everyone was so blase at the end about Telford being killed. Ok, so they know their Rush wasn't responsible and that there's another Telford copy, he's still dead! No one seemed very bothered or even curious about what happened. You'd get a stronger reaction from them if you mentioned you'd just gone for a crap.
 
02x14 - Hope

Really good episode! Well, I found it a little bit dull at the beginning (ugh, Chloe? Ugh... why are they showing us Ginn when they're only going to kill her off again? ugh, why don't they visit cool looking planets anymore?), but it got really good. I liked the more understated than usual scenes with Rush. He was sort of scheming and looking out for his own interests, but without any evil looks or anything. You just had this feeling throughout that he was thinking about his girlfriend and how he could stop the others from disconnecting the stones and he only piped up about it right near the end.

The scene with the iPod was bloody surreal, but really funny. I felt like I was watching someone's youtube parody. Think it was a reference to fans getting annoyed at them always using pop music?

Ginn's gonna watch Eli in the shower.
 
Last night's episode made me kinda sad because I have a bad feeling with show ending that they aren't going to have time to resolve this and find them new bodies to download their consciousness into before the show ends.
 
I don't know how they'd find new bodies anyway, is that something that was covered in the other shows? What happens to the existing consciousness in the bodies they take over? Something like the Jaffa/Goa'uld dual personality thing?
 
Lt Boobs' boobs made a nice backdrop for the surgery!

I thought it was a really good episode TOO. I was glad Rush finally mentioned Franklin, I was afraid they were just never going to mention him again.
 
I'm wondering if Rush's dead wife that Destiny sometimes creates will have an argument with Rush's dead girlfriend.
 
Really good. I liked the erectile dysfunction immaturity, and the myla-hee made me literally LOL. It was just so unexpected, I guess.
 
I liked this week's episode up until they conveniently got rid of Ginn and Rush's girlfriend. At least they weren't killed off, as I was half expecting, but it's still annoying that they brought back two dead characters, kept them for barely two episodes, then found a way to dispose of them again. The fallout between Eli and Rush might be interesting (or annoying and drawn out), but it's not even Rush's fault entirely. And the love test thing was silly. Of course Rush loves her, or are we supposed to buy that he's really so selfish that he can only love himself, or something?

I did like the other plot, though. Inventive use of the stones and the resolution made sense.
 
I was really glad Telford's plan didn't work. I still don't trust him! Also, McKay is so fucking annoying.. I hated him on Atlantis, and was DISGUSTED to see him on SGU. They should have brought Sheppard in for a guest appearance instead.
 
The episode with the time travelling Rush was on here todya. It was pretty good, but all a bit convenient: we end up with two Rushes and two Telfords but of course the spare Rush and Telford both die before the end. You could say the universe was "course correcting" but really it was just the writers not wanting to have two versions of the same two characters. And no one cared when Telford died!

I guess the other version of the crew from the other timeline could materialise somewhere sometime.

That could possibly explain why on tonight's episode they supposedly meet their descendants. Or it could be some other reason. I'll watch it later tonight and find out
 
Only three more left, and there won't be any movies for any of the Stargate series in the foreseeable future, ACCORDING TO TWITTER.
 
Um, so this week's one was pretty good. Or it would've been if this wasn't nearly the end, anyway. As it is, it's annoying that they're not evening mentioning Destiny's mission and we keep getting more of those drones, which are pretty similar to the Replicators from SG1.

Anyway, some amusing bits with the minor characters. You can see the writers have really got into the flow of things and know how to write all the characters now, so they're able to have a little fun with it. Again, shame the show's over.

I don't really get how Destiny's descendants managed to build an entire city and a population of millions in only 2,000 years, even with their knowledge of technology. Those people thought they were going back to Earth, so they would've arrived on the planet with virtually nothing but the clothes on their backs. Not even a spade to dig a hole in the ground. They also must've done an awful lot of fucking (and artificial insemination, since Rae's a lesbo).

Not sure if the ending was a cliffhanger, or if they'll act like everything's normal in the next episode and just have a throwaway line about how "it's lucky the planet with our descendants had a habitable moon to drop them off on".
 
It was a cliffhanger.

Watched the promos for next weeks episode instead of flipping the channel as soon as the credits rolled.:)

Looks like they find a database containing the entire history of the city and find out how and where the people fled to
