Looking at r/SnyderCut I'm pretty sure most of the genuine Snyder fans have long since been driven away and it's just 80% people who are there to hate on Gunn. They're currently celebrating Paramount purchasing WB as they think it means Trump will phone up Paramount and tell them to fire Gunn or some shit - something Snyder, who actually seems like a good guy, would obviously never want to happen.

I know it’s no secret that this is heavily inspired by Woman of Tomorrow, but I’m still surprised by just how much. Right down to Krypto being poisoned by Krem. I thought maybe they were going for more vibes than the direct plot. In the comic it plays as a much longer, galaxy-spanning pursuit, whereas the film seems to have turned it into a three-day clock.

I do prefer Krem’s design in the comic, even if I get why they didn’t go that route for the film, especially with Lobo already taking up a lot of the gruff-bearded-guy real estate. It also seems pretty clear now that Lobo’s going to be more of his usual antihero/bounty-hunter self than the big bad, which makes sense if they’re really following the Kara/Ruthye revenge story with Krem as the main villain, especially since Lobo wasn’t in the comic at all.
