Techman, RIP

I didn't know him very well but he treated me kindly the few times our paths crossed online.

I'm sorry I never knew Techman. I've read only a very few of his posts here at TK. I knew you two were engaged, but still, I didn't know him, nor do I really know you. And yet I feel such a pain in my soul that you are suffering the loss of your friend and fiance. Fifty-three is young, too young to leave so soon. I know he must have been a very nice man because I cannot imagine you would allow anyone who was otherwise to be a part of your life. My deepest and sincere condolences.

I actually want people to have a bbq for me when I die. There should be volleyball and a live band. I want people to have a good time remembering all the good times I've had with them.

Whatever people say about me on teh internets is secondary.

That's my 2 cents.
 
i liked Techman. he was a good guy, fun to chat with, fun to mess with.

he's one of the very few reasons i was a little sad about being banned from that other board.

i loved his cheesy jokes and awful puns. and his encyclopedic knowledge of mechanical things.

i'm gonna miss him a lot.
 
Hugs to those who knew him and will miss him most. MM, you're welcome to cry on my shoulder whenever you need to.

Like I said at WF, he acted all stubborn and closed-minded, but when the chips were down, I'll bet he'd get out of bed at 4am to come jumpstart your car if you needed him.

I posted this at WF...but I figured i'd post it here too....

I've been avoiding these threads like the plauge since I got the news. I don't deal with death well. But now i've gone through all the threads and read what everyone has said. I've cried so hard that my head and throat hurts. I can't believe that Tech is gone. Sure, alot of us disagreed with him about alot of stuff. But I honestly think that if he could see how many people have come out of the woodworks, be it on WF, TK, or any of the other boards, I think that he would be pleasantly suprised. And I also think that he would be happy, as I am, to see people who never agreed with him on anything to show this outpouring of love and respect. I know that I miss him.
 
oh my gosh. i'm so sorry mm, there isn't anything that i can say that will help, aside from these simple facts:

1. we love you
2. you have many wonderful people you can count on
3. techman is still awesome, where ever he is

cookies, brownies, puff pastry, cakes, chocolates, you name it, you got it. i have a friend who owns a bake shop.
