Well, to be fair she was much older than her chronological age and it wasn't a forcible beat-up rape.

Maybe he should have been charged with homicide for her suicide.
 
Or contributing to it. That's the problem. She committed suicide and was a minor. What do you mean older than her chronilogical age? A minor is a minor. Sell it liquor and see who goes home.

Look. If you get death for murder, and also for rape, there's nothing to stop a rapist from killing, since he's already committed the crime that is capital. Besides, many of those screaming for capital punishment, really don't give a shit about the victim, but are looking for restitution that their property was damaged.

However, even if it were true, or could be true, I doubt most rapists or murderers are thinking of the consequences or jail sentences and weighing them out before they commit said crimes.

I thought about continuing the past conversation on Suicide we had in that upper forum. Just out of the sake of playing devils advocate or something.
 
I think suggesting that someone can cause you to commit suicide is as slippery-slope dangerous as suggesting that you don't have the right to take your own life if you decide to.

I really have to think about the differences of online interactions verses real life interactions. Apparently people can be blamed for telling someone to "jump" (I would have to see concrete cases to know the circumstances surrounding the incidents if there are any) I believe these things have happened on line only.

Has there ever been a case of someone being on a playground or in real life, telling someone to kill themselves and then they get in trouble for it? Probably not-because where is the evidence, right?

Correct, because we all have choices and make them daily.

If I know someone is "weak" and suicide able-am I responsible for telling them to kill themselves? How do I really know where their mind is.......

I have to go back and read the previous discussion, I think a person was being made fun of on line or something-I would think the solution is to turn your fucking computer off, get help, support etc etc and realize those people are losers, some are not able to do that apparently????

Would you say the rate of suicides is higher now a days? (not including military/or maybe including)

Also, can you imagine being in Highschool/elementry whatever and having to deal with the added pressures from on line life? Would it be different? It seems much tougher for those teens already struggling to fit in.

Just looking for active conversation I suppose-not leaning towards any direction.....just getting my thoughts out as messy as they look.
 
Like it or not suicide is a decision to take full and total control of one's situation. Calling a decision like that a weakness is that slippery slope I was talking about.

I don't like suicide. I think it's horrible for the folks left behind who will never understand what drove their loved one to take his or her own life.

But I respect the strength it would take to make such an ultimate, final and incredibly empowered choice to determine one's own path for one's self.
