In fairness, it's not all of them. I daresay it isn't even a majority of them. Just EliteForge, and a couple hopping, barking dogs on its outskirts. The post-Lanz ownership has taken a decided left turn, which is part of the change. I was warned before that happened, by someone in a position to know, that a reshaping of the board's cultural landscape was in the offing and that I was going to be one of the first casualties of that reshaping. I doubt I'll be the last.

I'm afraid the Era of the BBS is pretty much over. That said, it provides a medium that blogs (which have also jumped the shark), Facebook, and Twitting don't. When I joined, I posted at WF because I liked posting there. The last few times I've posted there were because I hated it less than any other BBS. At this point, that isn't the case. I've tried going back to TBBS. It is a very cluttered interface, but I was prepared to live with that, but lately, it is so buggy on my phone that I can't hang out there during the day. When I heard this place wasn't completely dead I started trying to get back in the flow here too, but earlier this week threads were just hanging up and not loading, so if I don't want to read about building TARDISes, WF was still the only BBS I could reliably get to on my phone.
