As far as I recall no Seth McFarlen show gets good reviews, so I'll still be watching.
 
I'll be watching. Even if it only lasts a season or gets cancelled and then brought back like Family Guy.
 
I'm not a big Seth MacFarlane fan, but I'll give it a go if an episode pops up on YouTube.
 
I'll check it out of course, but after reading the advance press I don't have high hopes.
 
It's not on in the UK as far as I can tell.
 
It premiers tonight on FOX (over here). I'm debating if I'll watch it or not. I'm also not really a fan of Seth MacFarlane.
 
I kinda watched it.

Kind of boring, and the jokes fell flat.
 
It got better as the episode went on. Still not a great show.
 
Is it actually legal to steal so much of the TMP music?
 
The thing about it is that it's not actually a parody of Star Trek. It's more like a straight TNG remake but with some humour. But it's all so tame? The science fiction is tame, the humour is tame (barely smiled once), Seth MacFarlane isn't a good enough actor to lead a show like this (so much of early TNG only got by on the strength of Patrick Stewart)...it's just weak. It's not even terrible, just dull? The only thing it's got going for it is that it's not as cynical and mean-spirited as I feared it could be.

They should have just made it Orville: The Animated Series. Seth MacFarlane is a better voice actor.

Its a fine drama, but a poor comedy.

It made me want to watch the next one though, and thats more than most pilot episodes do.

Hell I can't even count the shows I have bailed on before the first break.
 
I'll give it another episode or two. Maybe someone will give Seth MacFarlane acting lessons…
 
Charlize Theron is going to be in an episode for some reason.
 
Maybe she's confused and thinks she's doing Arrested Development again since it's on Sunday nights of Fox.
