The Punisher

This one looks much more exciting than the last two. AND ALSO FOR THE FIRST TIME I AM ALL CAUGHT UP.

Karen is gonna be in it. I think the origin stuff will be in flashbacks.

I look forward to sseing more Karen, and her constant "about to cry" face.
She's a looker regardless, and hopefully be the humanizing element of that show. They're gonna hook up at some point, I'm calling it.

How was The Defenders the lowest rated Marvel netflix show? Did Iron Fist really sour that many people? Was the lower rating still high compared to other netflix programming?

They should definitely just team Danny with Luke Cage, or make him a supporting player on that show. Cut their losses.

I didn't know it was the lowest rated one. I know they said Jessica Jones was the highest rated, but they don't release actual numbers.

What I've watched so far has been good. Certainly helps to have a strong central performance as the main character.

I watched the first two and enjoyed it so far. I find it quite taxing so I can’t imagine bingeing the show in one go.

I just watched about 30 minutes of the Punisher movie wondering why didn't I know John Travolta was gonna be in it? Who is this guy they're calling Frank? WHAT IS GOING ON. lol

Okay, just saw the real first episode. Thank god it's better than Iron Fist. I really like the guy who is Frank.

I’m up to episode 4 or 5. Still finding it very grim and a bit of a chore at times, but I’m glad they’re using it to address issues around armed forces veterans. A lot of Marvel stuff can be simplistic action, but this has a message at its heart.

I just finished 3, it is definitely grim! I like the realism of it, I think.

I watched up to episode 4. Yes, very grim. But with all the violence in the other shows I watch, I think I'm a bit desensitized to it.

(We all need to get up to the same episode IMO, so we can discuss it in more detail without worrying about spoilers.

I watched 4 last night. I don't really have time to watch more than 1 or 2 a day.

It’s not usually the violence that bothers me (though the shot where he was bashing someone’s head in off screen and blood was raining down his face was pretty stomach churning). It’s just that there’s very little positivity, humour, or hope that there’ll be a happy ending. It can only get more dark and brooding. So well done to them for creating a strong atmosphere but it’s not a world I would want to stay in for more than an hour at a time.
