I found this series a bit harder to binge in long stretches, but I don't think that's really a bad thing as it meant I could pay more attention to the individual episodes instead of having them blur all together!

AS MOST PEOPLE HAVE SAID the series was good and Jon Bernthal was really good as Frank. I enjoyed his bromance with Micro. I also liked that they actually kept the same villains the whole series and didn't randomly kill them off in episode 10 only to have a really shit bad guy for the final few episodes.

The only part of the series that got weird for me was the whole thing about the anti-gun senator being a big coward who needed armed security and Karen Page being weirdly pro-gun... I mean, I get that it's The Punisher and his whole thing is guns but to have a message like that in this day and age with everything going on felt really weird.

BUT YEAH IT WAS ALL PRETTY GOOD THOUGH.

I guess they were trying to be topical. That was kind of the heart of the gun debate in the US.

They avoided doing an actual gun debate by just having the anti-gun senator turn out to be a lying coward, so it felt like a big copout.

THOUGHTS A FEW EPISODES IN.

The fight scenes are still really good. Jon Bernthal is still highly compelling as Frank. His interactions with Rachel/Amy (whatever her name is) get better as it goes on and she becomes more like a daughter to him. I like how he was excited about the idea of killing more people even though he was kind of trying to avoid it a bit. He's a complex character!

Some episodes really slow though, the usual curse of these Marvel Netflix shows, and have talking scenes that can feel like they're just there to fill time. Billy's story has been fairly predictable. But it's been good so fa.

Damn. I just finished #4. I have TV shows I like to watch every night or I'd watch more. I'll be done in 9 days or less if I can watch more on the weekend.
