Loads of new character from Woodbury moved into the prison. I wonder how many will get a line before they die?
If I remember rightly, last season started off really good but got bad as it went on. But a lot of that was because of Andrea not noticing that the guy she was sleeping with was evil (even after finding his room full of zombie heads in fish tanks.)
Simply fucking awesome. Some of it's getting predictable. When she wouldn't say goodbye, I knew he was a goner. He died horribly. So sad.
I loved the zombies falling through the ceiling to load the playing field. That was sheer genius.
Finally, lots and lots and lots and LOTS of zombies. They alluded to that in the farm sequence, but now it's becoming very real. What happens when there's no more room in hell is the dead walk the earth.
The Harry Potter guy was weird. He seemed to have be transported there from the 1950s. I guess we'll never know why now.
With so many corpses around you would've thought they'd've considered the water table becoming contaminated before now. But then, aside from the wilderness or somewhere that's flushed through with fresh water often, I'm not sure where wouldn't have the putrid juices of millions of dead trickling into it.
Anyway, good episode. I enjoyed it all the way through, but I am glad it picked up halfway through as if it had continued at the slower pace I know people would've said it was boring. I reckon I would've been happy to watch a whole episode of them playing happy families and seeing how the influx of new people had changed things. Still, the walkers dropping through the floor was quite novel and the Irish woman story was ok too. The latter was kind of predictable, as evidenced by the thing about the statues being such a cliche that they didn't even feel they needed to comment on it further than Rick pulling a face.
I can't believe they killed off [character introduced last week]! I really thought they'd stick around! Then the big shock of [woman introduced at the end of last seaosn] dying! I sure was attached to her.
Killing off all the randoms was cheap, but that aside I really got into this episode. Carol's really come into her own, Rick wasn't actually annoying and those little girls were very good.
I get the impression they want us to think Carol set those people on fire? I don't know who else could be a suspect since the "she ain't quite right" girl is too small. It's probably Glenn.
Pity we'll never find out how that kid got sent through time from the '50s.
The girl who named the zombies is obviously feeding them rats. I guess the black doctor guy burned the bodies to stop the sickness spreading. OR MAYBE THE GOVENOR JUMPED THE FENCE AND BURNED THEM WITH HIS FLAH-THROWING EYE SOCKET.
I was surprised it actually was Carol that "took care" of those two. They made it seem like it was her last week, but I thought she was a red herring. It's cool that she's all hardcore now, though.
Not much else to report except that I'm really enjoying this season.
It was really hard to believe those two hippies survived so long. I know they mentioned being seperated from "their crew" recently, but still. Seemed like a really usubtle way to show the differences between Rick and Carol. And of course after somehow surviving for over a year they die within an hour of meeting our heroes.
SPEAKING OF UNSUBTLE there was Tyreese being ANGRY too. And did the medic guy actually leave the medication behind to take the booze? Couldn't he fit both in the bag? Or was the medication somewhere else? I DON'T KNOW.
Anyway I'm sure Fuddlemiff enjoyed the Rick/Carol scenes (they were the best part.)
After watching the latest episode last night, I woke up thinking about the show and now I'm pissed off at Rick. What authority does he have to ban an original and valuable member of the group like that? It should have been put up for a vote at least. Carol was willing to face Tyreese. GD Rick gave up his role as leader months ago, he had no right... and Daryl's gonna be REALLY ANGRY.
I think the only positive thing about this episode I can say is that it wasn't dull.
Using the couple to compare and contrast with Carol and Rick was completely unsubtle. The characters were sort of adorable, but so unrealistic that you couldn't take the situation at all seriously. And it was clear pretty much from the outset that they'd be killed off to make a point. Carol leaving without even putting up a fight is stupid and a waste of a (at least in this season all of a sudden) fantastic character. What happened to Rick not being in charge?
Same deal with Tyreese. He's angry, so he's sorta trying to get himself killed? I expect that kind of talk from a SyFy channel tv movie, not from Michonne. What a tired cliche.
