The Walking Dead season 7

And this time they make it 60 minutes long for some reason, which means even more padding than usual.

The kid who plays Carl is such a shit actor.

No. I didn't want to be distracted from the starving scavenger girl who obviously spent all her season 6 Walking Dead paychecks on pizza and pie.

So, we've had

The skull bashing season premier
The Carol/Morgan/Kingdom episode
The Daryl/Negan episode
The Rick/Negan/Alexandria episode
The Maggie/Hilltop episode
The lesbian island episode

The events in every episode since the premier could've been covered in about 10 or 20 minutes, and the last episode could've been dumped altogether.

It feels like watching Fear the Walking Dead with more familiar characters - one's that you don't hope die.

The "Negan admires Carl" stuff would work better if Carl could actually act and we could believe someone would admire him.

I liked how he instantly shot and killed random guys but when he had a clear shot at Negan he just stood there listening to him talk.

Bit my tongue today when my Dad said that on the Talking Dead they said the guy that plays Carl was a good actor.

In the Zombie apocalypse there's a quota on Black guys, and fat people. Neither tend to last that long. Although to be fair they haven't killed a Black guy in like a season and a half. I'm surprised Morgan, and Priest guy are still around. Now we'll need a new chubby chick to roll into town for a season, or two. And I don't count Tara (is that her name? You know, the lesbo) as a fat chick. She's thick, and delicious

The whole gun-shortage thing is nuts. The US has about 300 million guns, and probably 30 billion rounds of ammunition just laying around. Georgia's pre-apocalypse population was about 10 million. If it's post apocalypse population is 50,000 (a very, very generous number based on the show), then there should be about 200 guns and 20,000 rounds of ammunition per surviving person. Of course there should also have been about eight years of canned food left, too, but perhaps most of that was eaten during the first weeks of panic before everybody died.

Was that last episode really good, or are just fooled into thinking it was really good because it wasn't boring as hell for once?

Finally they actually cut between characters in multiple locations and tied their stories together cohesively.

Negen was better than usual too (I know he's a fan favourite, but he's a bit too hammy for me). The genuine shock that someone had taken a potshot at him was very well acted.

RIP Olivia.

Yea, I'm not a fan of Negen. He's very exaggerated. I felt the same way about him in the comics too. I think they chose the wrong dude to portray him. I just don't think he's a very good actor. I was hoping they were going to take some liberties with him, and tweek the character from comics to t.v. like they did The Governor. So far all they tweeked was the amount of obscenities, for obvious reasons of course. Oh, and they picked a skinny old guy to play him instead of a dude that looks like a linebacker. He was tolerable at times in the books, and worked for the storyline I suppose. But, on the show his mannerisms, body language and everything just bugs me. Thankfully he's not enough to ruin the show, or hinder the storyline.

Maybe that's the point. He's supposed to annoy the shit out of me. I just don't find him convincing, or intimidating. I have a hard time suspending disbelief that this tall skinny prick could organize a bunch of hard asses to follow him. And if there's one thing I value in a show about zombies, its BELIEVABILITY!

I didn't care much for Ezekiel in the comics either. Oddly I like they way he's portrayed on the Show so far. He's alright.

I honestly hope they defeat Negen this season, and they don't drag the storyline out. The next storyline from the comic is much better. What I've read of it anyway.
