The Walking Dead season 9

It's lucky that apparently no major (or even minor) characters died during the six years we missed.

Gabriel and Rosita as a couple is really random and weird.

Well they kept hinting to some bad event during the gap. Maybe Maggie died (i think i read she won't but who knows). Its gotten worse but its still watchable for now. But this season has definitely taken a turn towards a more silly CW show type of vibe, which isn't good. The Judith shit is wretched. Seeing her converse with Negan should be the extent of her presence. Michonne having Rick's baby is intriguing tho. I just wonder how they'll handle the abysmal whisperer storyline. Did the show change writers or something?

I'm pretty sure Maggie's gone to live with the group of women who gave her a book last season (otherwise why mention them again at the start of this season.)

They do have a new showrunner this season.

I thought that was the case with Maggie. I have a feeling the rest of this season will feel rushed. I just wonder if the same deaths will occur on the show as occurred in the book... And what happened to the lesbian? The one Dwight shot?

Umm, the one who died when he shot her in the head with a crossbow? She's dead.

EDIT: If you mean Tara, maybe she's living at Oceanside after the time jump. That would be the natural home for lesbians.

Yes Tara. The simplest name to remember.... Oh, whatever happened with the black dude that went to oceanside with her?

At this point, I'm so glad that the plot isn't circling aorund "OMG isn't this Neegan guy so fucking evil OMG you guys i sure hope we get 'em this time oops nope he got away agin" that i'll take anything. i liked when the burning walker lemmings were falling/burning off the bridge, that was pretty rad.

i want to see the show subvert my expectations, the negan storyline was in a really predictable rut there for two almost three seasons. the fact that the show has circled back around to the walkers being the antagonists with the "where are they, they can't be far, don't let them get away" evolution of the walkers actually talking is pretty intriguing.

I don't want to post comic spoilers because people will be unable to resist reading them, but I know pretty major spoilers concerning the new storyline.

But like I said I'm not posting them!

So was Judith just standing in the middle of the road for hours pointing that gun in the off chance Negan would come driving down it?

Season 9. Season fucking 9. That's, what, 180 plus hours of Night Of The Living Dead, basically? How have the zombies not run out of shit to eat after 9 years?

Also, and this has always confused me about zombie flicks -- the people who make these things do know that you need shit like muscle, tendons, and ligaments in order to move, right? So how are these zombies still moving around, grabbing people, and eating them when those kinda sorta necessary for movement parts are eaten or rotted off? Just hunker down and wait for the fuckers to rot into a state of immobility. Kinda like how you don't really have to stake a vampire through the heart -- just knock his goddamn teeth out and let him starve to death.

I know, suspension of disbelief. But it's about like watching a car being driven down the street that's got no wheels on it.
