The Walking Dead season eight

The garbage people could speak normally all along. They just chose to pretend they couldn't. For reasons.

Enid: Yes I just murdered your grandmother BUT YOU SHOULD JOIN US AND HELP US KILL SOME OTHER PEOPLE YOU'VE NEVER MET AND WHO DIDN'T KILL YOUR GRANDMOTHER AND IF YOU DON'T YOU'RE DUMB.
 
I like how they edited the episode with the main character's name in front of each of the different stories indicating that they might do something of a non-linear narrative with the episode but then they didn't and they didn't do anything interesting with it and there was literally no reason for it to be there.
 
I imagine they literally just decided to add that in the edit to make it seem more interesting (it didn't work.)
 
They always do that. It’s like they edit the story together, have a massive panic that it’s deadly dull and then throw in some b roll footage with a bad tilt shift effect, or a guitar music montage to make it seem boring in a “this is art but you’re probably too stupid to ‘get’ it” way.
 
So the entire series we've seen characters smeaing themselves in zombie guts to avoid detection, having extended fight scenes with entrails hanging all over them, viscera spraying everywhere...even in this very episode the doctor had a huge wound in his leg and was rolling around wrestling a zombie without getting infected. And Negan's big plan is smearing guts on his baseball bat to infect people. And that was the cliffhanger ending.
 
If the point of the show is now "Maggie would actually be a good leader wheras Rick's an idiot" then it's actually doing a good job, but I suspect Maggie will fuck up soon to prove that Rick is ALWAYS RIGHT.
 
So for the last eight seasons, whenever anyone's gotten ill with the zombie virus (such as Carl just a few weeks ago) they've always had a fever first, sometimes for days, before dying. This episode: Carol's boyfriend goes to sleep and wakes up as a zombie.

AND I KEEP WATCHING ANYWAY FUCK.
 
Lennie James is a good actor but I wish they'd just kill Morgan if they're giong to do nothing but the endless "HE'S GOING CRAZY" story with him.
 
She does look good when she's not all garbaged up. And she's Scottish in real life but her accent never shows so that's good if you hate Scottish people.
 
I liked when Eugene outsmarted the two idiots who should have died ages ago. Though he's obviously making faulty bullets to help Rick's people, even though they don't deserve it.

Notice how they hardly showed the Negan/Simon fight? Surely because Negan looks like a stick figure and there would have been no way to believably shoot it.
 
OK so what the fuck now? I'm getting sick of this runaround. I liked it when Rick kicked Negan's ass and the end for Negan suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Right? and that progressed to Negan getting tied to a makeshift plywood pillory.

So now we're back to him reassuming power.

I do dig Simon's current role though. That weekly must be a good little jolt to the bank account.
 
So every single Savior switched to Eugene's new bullets? None of them had bullets left over that weren't sabotaged? And none of them had reason to fire their guns earlier in the day (say if they ran into a zombie on the way to Rick.) That was lucky!

Also really lucky that Rick happened to slash Negan's throat in a non lethal way.

And that Morgan's mental illness could be cured by talking to Jesus for twenty seconds.
