Although you gotta give the guy credit for having a point. Can you imagine what would've happened to Coca Cola when the customers rebelled against New Coke? Shit, if they'd have backed down, then their customers would've owned them. It's a good thing Coca Cola Corporation dug in their heels in spite of popular demand and forced people to drink New Coke. :cylon:

This has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard a board admin/owner/staff member say, ranking right up there with some of Neroon and Mutai Sho Rin's classics.

If the Forge didn't go to shit when TPTB lifted martial law early to quell the outrage then it wouldn't go to shit if Lanz lifted Hood's ban.

You just roll in this muck because you lack what it takes to create your own board and attract any posters. :P

As for the ban, I already posted at WF that events in the last 24 hours, time offline to ponder things led me to the conclusion all bans but two should be lifted....however..I also said that Lanzman is under no obligation to offer a blanket amnesty. And he isn't...it's not an entitlement and creating this shitstorm wasn't the best way to seek one, truly.

Wasn't our doing. Talk to your man Lanz about that, and his 'final word' dictates from on high about how he 'couldn't give in to the trolls' no matter how wrong he was.


He created the mess, he can fix it if he wants. If not.... oh well. *shrug* Whatchagonnado?

And anyway, Hell, why would I want to build my own board? Miss Manners treats us very well here. I get about 92% of what I want (and very polite explanations of why I can't have the other 8%, not "I can't tell you, but it's for your own good. This is not negotiable.") and I don't have any of the effort or expense required to administer a board. AND I don't have to try and recruit a whole bunch of posters or have discussions with myself.

Heck, I don't even want or need anything from Lanzman. I was hoping Hood could come back. He's already here. For that matter most of the posters I want to hang out with came here. Hell, even Dan came over, so now we can watch Hood bag on him here. Summer's here too. Britforge is in full effect. Really, I don't care about Wordforge anymore. It just doesn't matter. :cylon:

(Although I do miss some of the smilies. :unsure: )
