Nemesis was the first ST flick I didn't bother to see in the theater. Caught it on DVD six months later or whenever and loathed it. I might have seen it passing on TV once or twice since then, but yeah. Still no bueno. After how crappy "Insurrection" was, I refused to watch "Nemesis," a decision I do not regret to this day.
About the same here, since it first hit syndication. I used to be a canon freak as well but I dunno. SNW is having fun with things (and I think Trek has lacked fun and weird shit for quite some time) so I give it a free pass. Lower Decks, too, but I haven't seen all of that.I've been watching ST since 1971 or 1972, so I'm a little bit of an asshole about canon, but I've learned that canon isn't/shouldn't be a hard metric.
I need to dig that up too I guess. People do seem to like it but I haven't seen a second of it yet.*standard "Prodigy is good, actually" post here*
Speaking of which, remember when that one TBBS mod asshat banned her because he thought she was a fraud? That was hilarious. Chase Masterson herself showed up and got noped the fuck out of the board. lmao.I'm a great admirer of Leeta's boomers.
Really? I didn't catch that. How did anyone know it actually WAS her?Speaking of which, remember when that one TBBS mod asshat banned her because he thought she was a fraud? That was hilarious. Chase Masterson herself showed up and got noped the fuck out of the board. lmao.
Oh it was her alright. I think it was emh whatever that dropped the banhammer on her, and Bonnie (tbonz) tried to get her back and she was like NOPE! lmao. An absolute classic TBBS moment.Really? I didn't catch that. How did anyone know it actually WAS her?
I thought that seen in Galaxy Quest was a nod to where Kirk got crushed to death by rocks in Star Trek Generations.Dunno what made this pop into my brain, but..."Galaxy Quest." Tim Allen Kirk fights a rock man. A nod to Star Trek: V, where Shatner Kirk would've fought a rock man, had the stars aligned.?
So, I think it's a Trek combo... yeah the Generations rock crush, but also the fight with the Gorn captain (someone suggested to Allen he create a rudimentary weapon with stuff lying around), and also the last second beam out in "The Doomsday Weapon." That's what I think anyway.I thought that seen in Galaxy Quest was a nod to where Kirk got crushed to death by rocks in Star Trek Generations.
