Let's fuck some shit up
I want you to post what you last ate for dinner. Hell, you can even post what you had for lunch and breakfast. I want to see what TK is eating. Even if you didn't prepare your meal tell me where you ate it and what it was.

Last night I had Andoulle sausage and beef burgers with caramelized onions, watercress tips, and a spicy cajun mayo on a grill-toasted Kaizer roll with oven-roasted rosemary butter potato wedges on the side. The drink of choice was Stella Artois. Yes, I cooked all of it by myself. No joke. Again, yes, I had a foodgasm.

Tonight I had angel hair pasta with a pesto cream sauce topped with grilled turkey tenderloin and snow peas on the side. The drink was a delicious Hess select Chardonay '04. All prepared by yours truly.

Tomorrow, I'm thinking of having chicken and prosciuto tortellini smothered in a rosse' cream sauce. For the wine, I'm going to have a red, probably a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo.

Now, it's your turn. Impress me.

I fixed lemon-pepper baked chicken with chicken flavored rice. Made the hubs a hamburger steak since he can't eat any kind of bird.

Made fresh blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Andoulle sausage : this is what I need to make a perfect Jambalaya, but alas, they don't have it up here. :(

I'm having a capuccino for breakfast.

I went to Petrus following Marcus Warings stint on the bbc show, Great British Menu. It was lovely and I got too see Marcus which was a real bonus. Often you will get famous celeb chefs all diva ish and not cooking in there own resturants but this was lovely. A bit pricey for peasants such as yourselves, and you would probably only visit for special occasions but well worth every penny!! Food was lovely and puddings, heart warming !

I met a friend for lunch at Olive Garden, so I had leftovers for dinner late last night, which was a Three Cheese Tortalino with Roasted Garlic and Herb butter sauce and shrimp. And calamari. Yummy.

Didn't have breakfast since I ate so late and got up for work about four hours after eating that.

Breakfast was crunchy almond french toast with raspberries and a diet coke.

Munchkin had french toast and milk. Slightly better for him at least!

Last night I had to make something fast... Italian Chicken Sandwichs with seasoned baked fries.

Tonight, Caesar Pasta Salad topped with Grilled Chicken along with fresh French Bread that I'll be preparing soon.

Yummm

^drool....
Lunch : vegetarian lasagne with green salad (balsamic vinagrette dressing) and fresh strawberries for dessert.

FINE!!!
"what I had for dinner":
Phat Khing Sohd- fresh ginger, thai chilis, onions, straw mushrooms, green bell pepper, with Chicken and a side of Thai peanut sauce.

what are straw mushrooms, Speck?

They are about 3/4 to an inch tall.

they are usually canned, that's why they look that way. Taste wise, a little better that normal white button, mostly they are there for looks and texture.

Tonight I went to the Black Bass Hotel and Restaurant. This historic B&B was first opened in 1740. It is nestled in the Deleware River Valley overlooking the Deleware river and a footbridge that was designed by John Augustus Roebling, the designer of the Brooklyin Bridge in New York City. "The Bass", as the locals affectionately call it, got it's claim to fame during the Revolutionary War. The owners of the establishment had remained loyal to the crown of England. They refused to give quarter to General George Washington and his men only a few days before his legendary crossing of the Deleware to defeat the Hessian soliders. Today, the Black Bass is still a hotel and a gourmet restaurant. Their menu is quite astounding.

I started this evening's feast with a Barbequed Beef Quesadilla with roasted tomato salsa and buttermilk dressing. I was drinking a Kettle 1 martini, straight-up, no garnish, as an aperitivo. After gorging on that little delight I moved onto the main entree'. It was a Grilled Filet Mignon stuffed with Saga blue cheese, in a wild mushroom demi-glace. The Filet was so tender you could literally cut it with your fork. On the side, were delicious whipped potatoes, topped in cilantro garlic butter accompanied by tender carrot ribbons and steamed asparagus. The wine of choice was a great little Shiraz/Cabernet Savignon, of which I cannot remember its name. And, as if this wasn't enough, I decided to go all-out and get dessert, too. Dessert was a White Chocolate Cheese Cake with tropical fruit salsa and passion fruit drizzle. Literally folks, you barely had to chew your meal. It just melted away as soon as it hit your tongue. To finish it all off I had a nice brandy and espresso, to aide digestion.

To get a better sense of what this restaurant offers, here are the entree's had by my two companions.

1. Macadamia Crusted Halibut with a cilantro avocado puree, roasted pineapple salsa and tostones

2. Grilled Mediterranean Marinated Swordfish with hummus, kalamata olives, chopped tomatoes and cucumber raita

Ok, last night I had chicken and prosciuto torteloni in a basil pesto rosse' cream sauce. Here's some pics. It was just to gorgeous not to take pictures of.

Feel free to drool. It was delicious.

Oh yeah, tonight I had potato gnocchi in a black olive red sauce with taragon, steamed broccoli and focaccia on the side. I had a nice Ravenwood red for the wine.

Sorry, no pictures.

Ladies, if you want to eat my food, be warned. You will want to sleep with me soon after.

Side note: Unless I say I've gone to a restaurant, I cooked the meal myself.
