TK for WFers: A preemptive explanation

Oooh! I just thought of another useful trick to add to the list: How to exclude certain forums from the New Posts list.

User CP > Edit Options > Scroll to the bottom > Select as many forums to exclude from "Get New Posts" (Use CTRL + Right Click to select multiple forums).

Alright, I'm liking this so far. It's a pretty nice and timely post, I hope some other WFers join us over here to get out of that circle jerk. Any chance we can get some of the good and commonly used WF smilies over here. The bergman/reaper smiley in particular would be a great addition. I also like the calli and lol smiles.

I know, I know, who the hell is this new guy to come in here and start asking for smilies? But seriously, other than a little more serious discussion that is the one thing I've noticed that TK lacks the most.

First, there are no dumb or forbidden requests. Feel free to make any demands you desire, but they may not always be answered in a timely manner (or at all).

For serious discussion, open some topics in Armchair Philosophers. It's a spam-free zone.

Yeah.... we usually ignore requests :retard:

And spam free doesn't mean flame free and troll free. We dont have the same political posters as WF, but serious discussion can pop up almost anywhere.

why is that? how big is the membership here?

If you take out all the duals it's probably 50 or less, with them it's over 2000.

Seriously though, I do wonder how many active posters there are here.

We have between 90 and 125 people who log in every day. Different, real people. They don't all post and they dont all visit every day. Over 400 different, real people visit every 30 days. TK is a second board for most people... kind of like slumming on a Saturday night when you want to cause a little trouble.

TK has been suffering a drought. But with the influx of new blood this current WF drama has wrought, things could pick up.

New people to talk to, a new dynamic, etc

Yeah, so far the board is a bit slow during the times I post but that's not entirely different from WF - probably more due to the time zone I live in. :(
