Your argument against 24 is weak. You would be better served talking about some of the convoluted moments, implausible plot threads and rehashing of the same themes into the later seasons.


But that doesn't change the fact that it is a highly addictive and fun show to watch. That's all I want. I don't need MX approved television.

As for the decadance of drama being caused by 24's zooming camera angles.. LOL..

Don't be silly. It's a technique, one that gets admittedly over-used in 24 from time to time. 24 has been innovative in it's own way and is a solid drama piece and as I said before.. FUN.

I cannot comment on 24, haven't seen an episode yet. Shows like American Idol & just reality shows in general have never appealed to me. They are just mindless entertainment & after the success of the first Survivor series the actors in these shows are just playing to the cameras & trying to be a STAR!

Between reality shows & the vast array of infomercials, tv just SUX these days!!
 
Reality TV, in all of its variations, can suck the shit out of my ass while I'm suffering from the stomach flu.
 
Just to show you I'm not an asshole, I will freely admit that tonight's episode of American Idol sucked ass. It was a waste of 2 hours of my life.
 
Project Runway is a good reality show. If you don't mind prancing nellies flitting about the screen.

Chances are you butch types will be looking at the scantily clad models anyway.

That's why I chose to watch the Olympic coverage of figure skating. I knew it was going to be a bloated show at 2 hours.

Tonight's episode will probably be more of the same. It's hard, for me, to get into this season. There's no one that really caught my eye, except for that gray haired guy, but you know he won'r go far. He's not marketable enough. :roll:

And there are memorable performances every season. Along with the ones you've mentioned, BB, I can recall Clay's Solitaire, Constantine's Bohemian Rhapsody, Bo's Money, and Fantasia's Summertime (that performace brought tears to my eyes).

Yeah, Simon can be a dick. But he's also a realist. He doesn't believe in fostering false hope in performers who will clearly never make it as singers. And, as I've learned, a little harshness sometimes is far kinder than the most encouraging words.

I only have basic cable... the 4 networks, UPN, the spanish channel and several home shopping channels. 12 total. When traveling I sometimes tune in to the motel TV for weather...

TV is mostly against my religion

(except Star Trek and football that is)

I did like Fantasia's summertime. I like the grey haired guy too. Lucky for me, I can watch AI and Figure skating too, thanks to Tivo. :D
