To merge or not to merge?

Should we just skip over multiple f;gjkerpihja; threads to get to the spam we love and crave?

Or should we merge them to teh glory of teh capital?
 
You know my stance on this. I vote no merge. It takes the fun out of flooding this place up. It is also a fun challenge to go through pages and pages of non sense to find old threads or make new ones. I believe it to be a waste of time to merge these things. Time that could be better spent doing something else.
If those threads are to be dumped at a later date-then so be it.


The other thing is-I have looked for threads that I asked to have saved at the last dump-and they are now gone-merged in a pile of heap-this kind of pisses me off. Apparently the people in charge of merging around here are not doing a good job of it at all-so just leave it the fuck alone.

I bnelieve that was a certain admin having fun with us.
 
I think it was someone who fucked up. I mean mistakes happen-whatever. But it still pisses me off a little I guess.
 
If someone leaves a thread flood to be cleaned up, bitch at them, not the ones who cleaned it up for you.

Apparently in my haste, I merged a thread into Spam Capital (rolleyes here) that wasn't part of the flood. Sorry. You can always ask your mod to try and fish out the most cherished posts and split them off.

And that's as genial I'm going to get about the subject. Thread floods are my pet peeve. Feelings be damned if I'm the one who does the cleanup.

No one should be having to do clean up here anyway. There is only one person possibly asking for this place to be cleaned up-and its not against the rules to spam/flood the badlands. IMO

Is it an opinion-or am I wrong? should we not be flooding the badlands anymore? Is there a rule that I don't know about? Has the badlands forum been legitimized and I don't know it yet? Are we cleaning up for one person?
I don't understand really.

And I do this out of love Eggz, not any harshness or to stress anyone out.

I am tired of the debate about spamming and flooding in a spam and flood forum-I know how you feel about it-you don't like it no matter what-but I dont' think someone should have to clean it up when it doesn't need to be cleaned up.

I just assumed it was I think-since if someone floods the Troll Playground or Tea Room I thought it gets dumped here.

If its not a "flood" forum or flooding is not allowed then I need to stop doing it as well and those that do need to be punished, with more than leather and whips.

missmanners is the last word on any of this...I just see a difference between floods that consist of individual threads, each of which might merit its own replies (which I personally care less about), and 50 threads in a row that all have ~~~_~_~_~_~_~_~__~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ as the title. Those are getting merged, dumped, whatever. Fielder's choice, I say.
