Troll Kingdom the RPG demo

MAYBE I can add a bit more...

I need some graphics artists for a few sprites. Should I post some templates of what's needed publicly and see the results, or.... ?

Here is a quick guide on how to get the game running for those of you who are less inclined to this kind of stuff.

First you need to download the runtime files in the first thread.

Once you have downloaded it you need to double-click it to run the program. It will ask you to extract the files to a directory.

It will by default just ask you to extract to the directory you downloaded to. Which is usually the desktop.

Once you have extracted the files open the folder that you extracted to and run the setup.exe file.

You will be faced with this screen:

Now, don't panic. Just hit the button on the right. You will be given a few more screens after this but all you need to remember is that you keep pressing the button on the right. You will see the program install.

Now it installs to the Common Files directory which I imagine can confuse people and cause them to lose the download location so here is the location: (exchange the C:\ for whatever drive your windows installation is located on)

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS\Standard

Ok, that's the main runtime files installed. Now you are going to want to download the actual game itself. This part is quite important.

Once you have indeed dowloaded the game you will have a file called:

TKDemo.exe

Now, double click on the file and let it extract to wherever you wish it to extract to. Open up the folder and double-click "game" and you're away.

Enjoy the game and thank Messenger for making it.

Mentalist is playing a newer version which includes much more content. It will be available for download soon.

Expect a beta-proto-demo later today.

TKRPG Proto-beta demo is up. Anyone who wants to test it should download from the same address given in the first post in this thread.

I have not play tested it from start to finish, but there shouldn't be any horrible errors (Repeating script that prevents you from proceeding, etc).

If you downloaded the original I suggest you judge it based on this. It has a 'dungeon' area and some humor here and there.

If anyone hasn't played this yet, you are really missing out. If you havent played the latest with the smiley boss fight, then get the latest version. I played for 28 minutes last night, ok, some of it was leveling up in the woods so I could buy some armor and win the last battle.... no way was I gonna stay in that dress.

:D

I'm enjoying this, but can't find the dungeon you bastard!

I found chasing the white rabbit a fun pastime.
