Good things and dumb things happened?
I liked Ani and Ray working their shit out, that it kind of happened at the same time, and that they both see the goodness in each other. I wasn't really expecting them to have sex, I'm not against them having sex, but I thought it would have been more meaningful if they didn't. If they realized they are good friends, or something? Fuck. Anyway I guess they were both starving for intimacy and sex is tv shorthand for that sort of thing. They spent so much time giving Frank backstory they didn't have time to develop a real relationship between Ani and Ray.
Paul is dead, and I don't fucking understand anything about his storyline except he was ashamed of being gay. Who was the black man he was taken to in the tunnels? Was he one of the corrupt cops from the jewelry robbery? TOO MANY FUCKING CHARACTERS. Also, Burris just happened to be in the exact spot to shoot Paul? How convenient.
Frank's stuff was actually better this week. I liked him burning it all down. Too bad they didn't make him more interesting from the start. So much time wasted on him wanting kids, and trying to make him seem sympathetic or something.
My biggest complaint for this entire season is that they tried to do TOO MANY THINGS. I never felt connected to any of the characters.
