Interesting viewpoint, however, I don't agree. We have a large problem with Mexican people pouring into our country. There is, in fact, a movement by some Mexican people (the Council of La Raza and MEChA) that advocates taking California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Texas and parts of Washington State as properties of Mexico. How do they intend to do it? To overrun these areas with illegal Mexcian immigrants and to lobby within the country to do away with our immigration laws. The Council of La Raza is already quite successful in garnering millions of American taxpayer dollars to pay for housing and education for illegal immigrants.
What about the non-Mexicans who live in the states? We were born here, have lived here all our lives, worked here, bought homes here, paid taxes here, have family buried here. This is what the Council of La Raza and MEChA say about us: "For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada." Which means: "For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing."
In other words - we have a big problem with Mexican immigrants - specifically illegal Mexican immigrants.
I find your imperialist argument interesting. In order to not be imperialist, we must therefore allow ourselves to be overrun with illegal Mexican immigrants to the point we lose our homes and our lives because to protect our interests naturally means we will seek to annex other parts of the world to gain cannon fodder for a global war and to take their resources. You must be a Democrat.
