The bad news: There is now a US reality show also named Utopia, where a bunch of people are left stranded on an island for a year to form their own civilization.

The good news is, nobody is watching it.

More bad news, there'll be an American remake.

I'm not really gonna miss it. The second series was a serious case of style over substance and the characters were so underwritten that while you might have warmed to them, you could never really understand what made them tick.

Apparently David Fincher is going to direct the US version so maybe it'll be good?
