Wacky Reviews: Things He's Watched On Netflix

I’ve been watching Evil Genius. It’s a real life crime documentary in a similar style to Making a Murderer, except they definitely did it.

It’s about the pizza delivery guy who some years ago had a bomb planted on him connected to a collar road his neck and was told to rob a bank. He was blown up and the documentary catalogues the hunt for the killers. It’s got lots of twists and turns which are obviously made more interesting since it’s a true story. Only 4 episodes too so it’s not a huge commitment.

I watched that. It was interesting because the crime was so bizarre, but the "they definitely did it" factor kind of hurt since it just turns out that all the creepy weirdos actually were creepy weirdos so that's not much of a surprise. There didn't seem to be much evidence that Marjorie was any more responsible than the other people involved but they focused on her more than anyone else because she was the most interesting characters (and because some of the others were dead.)

Yeah, if anything it seemed like the big guy (Bernstein or something?) was the most responsible since he made the bomb and came up with the treasure hunt for the keys. It’s unlikely Marjorie even knew that the pizza guy would die since she genuinely wanted the money recovered.

A movie about 2 assistants to high powered bosses who decide to get them together so they can have free time. It is obvious from the start that the 2 assistants will end up together as well.

I'll never watch it but please review!

I don't know how! I might have to watch it again because I have forgotten it.

I will try a 'Stefan from SNL' style review:

If you want to see a light-hearted movie about 2 assistants becuase it makes you think fondly of the time you were an assistant, or you still are, then this is the movie for you. It has tantrums, bitches, light sex scenes, a pool scene and much more!

Matt Groening has a new cartoon coming to Netflix that looks like Futurama in fantasy times.

I'm sure I'll watch it anyay so I can say "it's bad" or "actually it was good!"

‘Altered Carbon’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix With Anthony Mackie in Lead Role

Altered Carbon” has been renewed for a second season at Netflix, but another actor is taking over the role of Takeshi Kovacs from Season 1 star Joel Kinnaman.
Anthony Mackie is joining the series in the lead role. The change up in the show’s main character is not unexpected given that it takes place In a futuristic world where the human mind has been digitized and a person can transfer their consciousness from one body to the next. The series is based on the science fiction novels written by Richard K. Morgan.

In addition, Laeta Kalogridis will return as showrunner and executive producer, with Alison Schapker joining the series as co-showrunner and executive producer. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross will executive produce for Skydance Television. James Middleton will also serve as an executive producer.

Mackie is a Julliard-trained actor known most recently for his role as Sam Wilson, a.k.a The Falcon, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has also had memorable roles in films like “The Hurt Locker,” “8 Mile,” “All the Way,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “The Adjustment Bureau,” and “Pain & Gain.” His role in “Altered Carbon” will mark his first regular role in a television series.

I didn’t think the other actor was very good, so I’m glad they’re making a change. I wonder if he had a decision in it, though, and whether his body will be seen getting killed off or they’ll just start with the new guy doing a bit of a doctor who after regeneration scene. “Ooh, Black, haven’t done this before!”

Well the other actor got his own body back, so I didn't think he'd be in the next one. I wonder if they're following the books and jumping into the future, or if they're going to make up new stories to fill the gaps.

I'm surprised it got renewed since lots of people seemed to give up after the first couple of episodes but I'll watch it all!

I wanted to let you know that last night I did not watch "So Undercover" With MIley Cyrus. And I also wanted to let you know that I am not watching "Kim Convienience"
