It's an obvious one, but Werewolves Of London is still for the win. It was also the music for one of my favourite C64 games. Excitable Boy is easily his best album. And look - here's an out-of-focus photo I just took of the album I just pulled off my shelf :)

Another reason David Letterman is a legend -- he had Warren Zevon on many, many times overs the years, and Warren even filled in for Paul Shaffer as bandleader a bunch of times. When it was discovered that he was sick, Letterman devoted a whole show just to him, to have him on one last time.

The best version of Roland The Headless Thomson Gunner is the Letterman version.
 
I watch half that C64 video and I can't tell what the gameplay even is (I'm sure it was good at the time!)
