Well, as predicted....nothing changed.

The switch from 25 mods and observers to 8 supermods and admins was a good change. Aside from that, nothing of substance was done. We need to review the fireside chat threads, to see what other suggestions were made, then ask about them. I may start some polls on the suggestions later this weekend when I have a bit more time.

DNR threads were abolished as well among various changes.

It should be noted that change also happened before the rep rules change and was a change pushed for heavily by several people in the Shelter.
 
DNR threads were threads the membership never knew about and thus a change they never demanded, right?
 
Change is a two way street. It's not enough to cry, "Waaah, you're unfair."

For true change to come about, definitive action from *both sides* must occur.

While I agree with that...how much power does a poster on a board *have*? I dunno what definite action posters can do short of voting with their feet en masse. People won't do that because they have too many friends there.

The most my suggestions did was get one post from Anna here, and a big chat discussion which did nothing. The chat discussion did involve nick and tamar, so it did help, but they didn't bring it into A-51 as far as I know or anything, and they definitely didn't impliment changes.

But we all knew they weren't going to change, didn't we? And we will still post anyway, right? It saddens me.

Whoopie. Instead of being labled DNR, they'll just be deleted right to the trash bin.

Nah...I'm sure they'll just increase what they're already doing, that is discuss matters in places other than A51, another forum, IMs, phone, etc.
 
Who here was complaining about the DNR threads (who knew for that matter)? Who here was complaining about the poor mods not being able to wage rep war?

So who gives a shit about these "changes" that have occurred if no one demanded them in the first place and they don't matter in the long run?
 
I don't know why any of you are surprised. Look at how they derailed the thread about how WF was stolen from Borgs. It's the same tactics over and over. Deny the problem until it blows up, apply a quick fix, then distract the masses to something else.

Come off it guys, an awful lot changed. I re-joined WF since your last server fuck-up, and am a budding regular contributor, free of spam. What more could any posting board wish for? ;)

Yep! Gagh has been contributing quite a bit at Wordforge lately. I, for one, welcome him and his valuable contributions there.
