Eeeeeeeeeh. The New 3DS version is probably better than Wii U, but the 3DS version is trash - framerate is awful, number of enemies is tiny in a game where number of enemies is everything. I'd go Wii U + 3DS season pass if I were you - that gets you the Wii U content + 3DS characters (Linkle!!)
 
Yeah, Linkle was the big draw for me so I'll probably do that.
