What game are you playing on a Nintendo console at the moment?

One of the most litigious companies in the world can do something good with their legal team instead of going after youtubers.

It's so fucking hard.
I'm so conflicted on this game. It is great, objectively! It's looks beautiful, the main character is such a great design, I want to know so much more about the world and the story. The exploration is very satisfying, there's almost always somewhere else to go when you get stuck. The boss battles are so much fun - they feel impossible at first, of course, but after like twenty attempts I'll beat themand it's hugely satisfying.

BUT! FUCK THE PLATFORMING. I'm not getting any better at it! The "pogo'ing" thing you have to do still feels random to me on whether it's going to go the desired way. No matter how many times I do it I still end up fallilng to my death more often than not. I am aware that this is a "me" thing. I am aware that I'm old now and my reflexes aren't what they once were. My fingers and wrists are fucking aching right now, a couple of hours after I last played. I don't know how much more I can take before I just give up and jump into Hades 2.

I watched this WHOLE VIDEO trying to work out what it's got to do with Nintendo and it's never revealed!

I have BINNED Silksong* in favour of Hades II and I have made the right decison. I'm not going to outright says Hades 2 is a better game: Silksong is obviously great. I did have a fun time with it, in parts. When things were going well or I'd beat a boss after 12 attempts or whatever: great! But I just got sick of how hard it is. I kept dying to the same boss, but what made it worse is I kept losing health on the journey back to the boss every time I get sent back after dying. I asking myself "Captainwacky, are you having fun?" And the answer was no. Then I looked ahead and found that the next area would be even harder and I'd be constantly dying just moving about. It was too much, man. Hades 2, on the other hand, I don't mind dying AT ALL. I know this is an obvious thing to say but every game is different! Every run you have a totally different "build" and it's so much fun finding different combinations. I know there's some customisation in Silksong, but when I was dying it was the exact same every time, wheras the genius of Hades is that every game is different and you get better and discover more of the story every time. I have gotten to the second phase of Chronos (and died) and will keep on pushing ahead!

*I will go back to Silksong some day. It's too good to not want to finish. But I have to be in the right headspace, man.

Never play Dark Souls. The Capra Demon and the run back will not make you a happy bunny.
