What was the point of the second rapist in Back To The Future?

Should have ended with them listing all the cool celebrities who have died in the last thirty years. Like Richard Whiteley.

Pre-intervention George couldn't have prevented Biff from getting his way on that -- and that's pre-intervention Biff saying it. Now, post-intervention George prevented it -- but again, that's post-intervention George. Before Marty intervened, Marty would not have existed.
 
Marty did exist before Marty intervened. That's literally what we see at the start of the film. You have misunderstood "Back to the Future", an easily-understood film.
 
Right, he certainly did -- but that was despite the fact that he couldn't have. Which means that Marty's first trip back to 1955 wasn't the first trip back to 1955. Somebody else did it first and their intervention resulted in Marty's existence.
 
I can't even follow The Saint's side of the conversation.
We watched part 1 tonight and will watch part 2 tomorrow.
It watched the first one with a new perspective this time!

Lets see, the 2nd rape scene, George gave up because he forgot he had confidence.

When Marty comes back to 1985 and the delorian dies, and he follows the terrorists to the mall, it is odd to me that there is a 2nd delorian, and a 2nd Marty at that point. When he comes back he should be the only one! Otherwise it is this constant streaming loop of going back and forth and pretty soon there are going to be multiple Marty's and multiple delorians!
 
That is the inference.

At the end of the 1st one its the Marty with the rich and successful parents who goes back in time, while the Marty we have been watching just goes home and takes over that guys life.

What happens to rich Marty?

I mean in the 2nd one they already have out Marty go back to the same time again, and him from the first film is still there, so shouldn't rich Marty arrive and find original Marty already there?
 
I think at some point in the future The Saint must go back in time and implant an alternative version of Back to the Future in his younger self's head.

Anyone seen the Jimmy Kimmel sketch? I found it difficult to watch. Neither of them can speak very clearly and it wasn't very well written considering what an opportunity it was.
 
Yeah, that is Kimmel's weakspot. He has the clout to put together all-star reunions (he did a Friends skit last year), but the writing usually doesn't pay off in the end.
 
Yeah, that was actually cringe-inducing. I felt bad for Christopher Lloyd, who visibly forgot his lines more than once and was obviously exasperated with himself over it.
 
On a related note, I used to always look forward to Shatner going on a talk show, circa Denny Crane era. I'd think to myself, "Ah, a clever, engaging raconteur, who's aged gracefully." But I'd forget that this is the character he often plays. Without a script and direction he's a bit of a buffoon.

Oh, and to reiterate, first off, it is a bit overkill to say the second character is a "rapist." He is just a bully who cuts in at a dance. But the message is that you don't "win" life. There isn't a time where you beat the Bad Guy and live Happily Ever After. Life is a constant challenge and if you ever stop fighting for what you want, you lose it.

True enough on it's face. You do have to make room for the fact that many an undeserving soul fighting the good fight is stripped bare and left for dead while the heavens rain down grace and glory on the heads of people who deserve nothing more than to be slaughtered like pigs.
