Actually I think I touched on this before. I probably wrecked my eyes when I was little, reading comic books under the covers by the light of the "laser" on my Six Million Dollar Man's special mission bionic arm. By junior high (maybe earlier, I'd have to see if I can find school photos) I needed glasses/contact lenses. Then I took some money from the Gulf War and got LASIK and had 20/15 vision for the past 20 years. Then, 3-4 years ago I started getting old enough that I need reading glasses. I'm about as happy about this as TWOK Captain Kirk.
