Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

Not really, but I once built a Romulan Cloaking Device from TOS out of a stolen streetlight globe and an old lava lamp base. My roommate and I were convinced that when we switched it on we were invisible. Unfortunately it didn't stop people from showing up without warning, so it was a total failure.
 
I meant to give more detail. My neighbor's son creates these dongle things for the top of the lamp. She couldn't find his web page. I tried looking and couldn't find it either.
 
...Things fried in grease. Mmmm.... Doesn't matter if it's fancy like extra virgin olive oil or common lard. Throw it in a pan and let it bubble in that oil until it is tasty and brown and shiny.
 
Fair food hits "fried in grease" out of the ballpark, but needs more work on the "ground up animal, stuffed into its own intestine" aspect. The corn dog/pronto pup may be the perfect intersection of the two, and there are probably more hot dogs and brats and things than I give credit, but mini donuts and funnel cake and other greasy delights stand out more in my brain.
