Walking The Dog past a guy, cleaning his big Cadillac Escalade with tinted windows and realizing the A-Team had a van because SUVs didn't exist in 1983. They need a vehicle that everyone can be in so they can have scenes with all the characters with exposition as they're going somewhere. A station wagon--or even a big sedan really doesn't cut it. I mean, you did have the custom van fad of the late 1970s, but the main reason was because they needed a vehicle that would work for the stories in the show and there was no such thing as an SUV yet.

I collect die cast 1/24 vehicles, the a team van is surprisingly short compared to other star cars like the general Lee, KITT or the ford torreno.
