Shawn Michaels reflects on the Montreal Screwjob
So, 20 years after the "Montreal Screwjob," what comes to mind when Michaels, the man who had to ultimately execute the Sharpshooter and the plan to blindside Hart, thinks back to that fateful night?
The Rock at Survivor Series: A career defined in three moments
But the career that changed the most at Survivor Series, and in turn helped shape the history of the event as much as anyone ever has, is that of The Rock. There were moments throughout his WWE tenure that continue to resonate, but three major phases of the Great One's career were largely defined by moments that took place at Survivor Series.
Who is the best wrestler in WWE Survivor Series history? The 33nd annual Survivor Series will take place on Sunday, Nov. 24. As we looked back at the first 32 events, we wanted to find a way to determine the all-time great performers in traditional Survivor Series matches.
ATTENTION! This thread, and indeed, entire sub-forum, are now under inspection by the Obsidian Order. The lapsed fan's guide to 2019 WWE Survivor Series :day:
Alright! Survivor Series! The annual battle between Team Red (Raw) and Team Blue (SmackDown) for WWE supremacy! The what now? How did this invasion angle happen? A lack of logic? In professional wrestling? Surely you jest! Have the other brands invaded NXT, too? Is there another Triple Threat singles match with the brands? Bayley's a heel? Dances with those inflatable car dealership tube men, "Free hugs!" Bayley. What about the rest of the women's division? Is Bray Wyatt still mad at Daniel Bryan for taking off his ceremonial overalls and leaving his backwoods family cult? Is this just going to be five seconds of Lesnar throwing Mysterio around like a lawn dart, a la Kevin Nash?
So that's your 2019 Survivor Series card, an event that will thrill us with action and confuse us with the backstage politics that lead to booking which "brands" beat the others. No matter what happens, this Survivor Series will be forever remembered for the NXT invasion angle that, if we're being honest, transformed a potentially lackluster card into one of the most intriguing events the WWE has hosted in quite some time. At least on paper.
