WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Cody Rhodes signals return of Randy Orton at Survivor Series for WarGames

The numbers advantage in WarGames is always a key piece of the storytelling for the iconic match. That advantage was up for grabs on Raw on Monday night, but the losing team may have scored the biggest win by adding a surprising member as their fifth man for the match at Survivor Series on Saturday. After announcing that he had joined Judgment Day's team for WarGames, Drew McIntyre defeated Jey Uso in the Raw main event, securing the advantage for the team on Saturday. But it was the team of Uso, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn who delivered the biggest blow of the night, announcing that they had secured Randy Orton as the fifth man on their team before the show went off the air.

Fun to watch you switch accounts to try to prove a point that no one cares about anyway.

Everyone knows you're the same poster.

Go ahead, roll eye this bitch. It's all you got and I'll increase my reaction score by 8 anyway. Everything you do at TK fails

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: CM Punk says he's back 'home,' Randy Orton wins in return vs. Dominik Mysterio

Two of the biggest stars of the past 20 years returned to Raw on Monday night after prolonged absences. While Randy Orton was only out of action for roughly one and a half years, fans in Nashville were thrilled to see him back in singles competition. But the biggest anticipation of the night was over CM Punk's return to Raw for the first time since 2014. Punk didn't have much to say when he closed the show, instead focusing on how his unexpected return to WWE was a return "home." Orton, however, was happy to get back to work by finishing off Dominik Mysterio in the night's main event.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Cody Rhodes fails to confirm his WrestleMania plans as Drew McIntyre attacks

Aside from the ongoing lawsuit and federal investigation into allegations of sexual assault and trafficking against longtime WWE CEO Vince McMahon, the dominant story over the past weekend in the professional wrestling bubble has been that of Cody Rhodes seemingly giving up a shot to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes appeared to give up that opportunity on SmackDown this past Friday when he introduced Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for a staredown with Reigns. Rhodes' WrestleMania picture didn't become much clearer on Monday night's episode of Raw. Before Rhodes could officially accept world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins' pleas for a match at the biggest show in wrestling, Drew McIntyre involved himself in things. McIntyre would do the same at the close of the show, attacking Rhodes following Rhodes' victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bull Rope Match.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Cody Rhodes has Seth Rollins in his corner but trouble in every direction

Cody Rhodes has issues everywhere he looks, but he's building a healthy network of allies. World heavyweight champion Seth Rollins lent his support to Rhodes ahead of WrestleMania 40, plus Sami Zayn needed his aid against Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura. It all went down on Monday's episode of WWE Raw. The 2024 Royal Rumble winner officially challenged undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns for a WrestleMania match last week. It was a sigh of relief for fans who thought The Rock's return would impede Rhodes' plans. At the same time, WWE appears to be building to a blockbuster tag team match pitting Rhodes and Rollins against Reigns and Rock. Monday's show followed up on that story while giving Rhodes plenty to worry about elsewhere. SmackDown was well represented on the red brand this week as three qualifiers took place for Elimination Chamber matches. LA Knight and Bobby Lashley both attempted to qualify for an Elimination Chamber match to crown a No. 1 contender for Rollins' title. CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Jimmy Uso costs Jey Uso the intercontinental title against Gunther

As WWE continues to build toward WrestleMania 40, the promotion appeared to use Raw on Monday night to plant the final seeds for one of the year's biggest matches. As Jey Uso was on the verge of ending Gunther's record-breaking run as intercontinental champion in the show's main event, Jimmy Uso intervened to cost his twin brother the title. Jimmy's interference came as Jey seemingly had the title won. Jimmy then added insult to injury by continuing to assault his brother after the match ended. This will almost certainly lead to the Usos facing off in singles action at WrestleMania, which takes place on April 6 and 7 from Philadelphia.

WWE Raw results: Live recap, grades as Becky Lynch and Nia Jax collide in a Last Woman Standing Match

Becky Lynch heads to the ring on Raw this Monday night looking to finally put an end to a yearslong issue with Nia Jax. Lynch and Jax will battle in a Last Woman Standing match in one of the featured matches of the night. Lynch's issues with Jax go back to November 2018, when a brawl between SmackDown and Raw wrestlers ahead of Survivor Series saw Jax break Lynch's nose. That was a key moment in Lynch's rise as one of the top stars in WWE. After Jax was released from WWE and eventually returned, their feud was rekindled, with Jax's bone-breaking blow kept front and center in the storyline. Jax and Lynch have only had two televised singles matches in their WWE careers, with Jax coming out on the winning side of both. The second meeting came earlier this month, with Jax winning by disqualification after interference from Liv Morgan.
