June 21st/07:
hung over from Bon Voyage party I threw for neighbours who got transferred.
We've been friends for seven years since they moved here and I'll miss them. A two 1/2-hour drive away is NOT the same as being across the street. :(
 
June 22: Just realized that I will be invaded tomorrow. NOT THE GOOD SEX INVASION BUT THE CRAZY REDNECK RELATIVE INVASION OMG no not being sexually invaded by relatives EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE REDNECKS AND REDNECKS SOMETIMES DO THAT SORT OF THING.

I need to go grocery shopping, and get the sleeping arrangements all figured out. GOD, I'm going to have a lot of extra cooking to do this week. WILL I HAVE TIME TO SPAM? FUCK YES I WILL MAKE TIME TO SPAM.

I am curious (natch) as to what to feed red neck relatives. Such knowledge might come in handy one day, you never know.
 
Well... rednecks eat really good food. Since I still have a lot of cow carcass in my freezer I know we will be grilling steaks at least once. Possibly some fried fish, with cheese grits and hush puppies.. Might even talk my sister into making her cheese enchiladas, which will get me out of the kitchen for one night.

Tonight I shall make chicken and dumplings, it's like Xanax.

Been 19 for a week now, not too bad. Watching Glastonbury now.. didn't think I liked Arctic Monkeys but turns out I do.
 
June 23/07:
back from Farmers' Market with a fresh broiling chicken, a flat of STRAWBERRIES, and a lily.
Just one.
It was only 5 bucks.
it needed a home.
In a colour I didnt have already.

The Arctic Monkeys are a band that play a new kind of music which is sweeping the country. I didn't like them at first for some reason I forget, but their songs are a lot more mature and interesting than I thought.

After not throwing up for years I came down really ill today and just threw up for the fifth time. Tried to eat some soup but my stomach obviously didn't like it. Now I feel really tired and wobbly, but I can't sleep. :(
 
June 24/07: got up early to water garden; weeded; found a white foxglove that had been submerged in the daylilies; re-planted it by itself ; friends dropped by on the way to pick up their new kayak; showed them the garden; and now I want cereal with strawberries.
 
June 24: Had a hillbilly morning.. Raccoon chasing a cat, raccoon dead now, and A WASP BIT ME ON THE FOOT SO I EXTERMINATED IT'S WHOLE STING-Y FAMILY.


:rwmad: also.. if I have to listen to my sister talk about her dogs one more time, they'll have to put me in the loony bin.
 
Should've set the wasps loose on the dogs!!

Had one of those weird dreams you get when you're ill last night... humanity ascended(well, the good ones), we looked down on the Earth and witnessed the rapture. It was fun.
