13/10/07 Wife's birthday, inlaws on the way, much drinking anticipated
 
OCT 13: Spent most of the day shopping with my mom. SHE IS A SCARY DRIVER. Got a new purse, and two new bras.
 
In laws gone, their legacy of making my wife feel like shit reaches its 30 year milestone.

Woke up at 3 full of cold, went online till I could get sleepy enough to go back to bed, went back at 5 up again at 6.30

Still full of cold, although not as tired as I might expect, no doubt that will hit me later.

Need a sick note for work to prove that I actually needed to take time off after having a hernia operation, because apparetnly the letter I got from the hospital saying I had just had an operation wasnt good enough.

Only the word of a doctor who hasnt actually seen me authorising me to take time off that I already took last month is good enough.

called in to work today...couldn't be arsed to come up with a lie. Why isn't tired, cold and sad a good enough reason? Sometimes I wish I worked for a big company that just gave you so many days off and what you used them for didn't matter as long as you got your shit done. I'm sick of my boss trying to get answers out of me. "You seem distracted.....are you okay? Is there anything I can do to help? Do you want to talk about it?" Yeah, ok honey - here goes: My girlfriend broke up with me because her husband is emotionally manipulating her to feel guilty about something HE wanted for her from the beginning and now I have night tremors and I cry all the time and I'm sorry it's unpleasant to watch but I'm still doing my fucking job so BACK OFF! HAPPY? GAH!
 
Oct.23: been raining heavily so havent done bugger all in garden fr weeks. HA! NOW we get the rain.
Between work been working on gathering up accessories for this year's Halloween Party - Pirates - am putting last bit of gesso on papier maché mermaid so I can get the bloody thing painted and it can dry before company arrives through the door.
Wanted some old crappy burlap for the dining room table - no one uses burlap anymore cos it's 'unhygenic'(sp.). WOT?
 
23/10/2007 - Got a haircut. It took ages. There was a girl with a nice ass sweeping up hair, so I looked at her for much of it. Smooth.
 
23/10/2007 Cleared boxes from near front door that have been there since we moved in, just the boxes in every other room of the house to go now.
