I recently got a P226 (9mm). Nice gun.

Make sure you get night sights, though. I'm kicking myself for not paying the extra amount for them now.
 
Thanks. Not sure what caliber I should get. 9mm, 357, or 40. Going to try them all out this coming weekend. As for night sight, That's a good idea.
 
Depends on what your going to get it for.

Target shooting or Match: the 9mm, as its very accurate. (at least mine is)

Self defense: I'd go for the .40. Almost as big as a .45, but not as much recoil.

But, yeah. Test them out, and see what you like. Just remember, if your going to try out a "range gun", those weapons litterally have hundereds of thousands of rounds through them, and have been taken apart god knows how many times by the range staff for cleaning (and I'm not talking about field stripping, I'm talking about full take downs). As such, its hard to get an accuarate read on a gun from a rental. Or I've always thought so.
 
Well, I guess I am in luck then. A friend of mine I'm going with owns the guns I am interested in getting. I'll be trying his there. :)

Without a doubt he is SUCKING UP and a BROWN NOSER!!
Or you wouldn't have to tell folks what your not.
