lol a cease and desist should be sent via a legal and traceable document in order to hold up in court, not just as a vaguely worded threat on a message board.

Meanwhile, doesn't the threat of legal action constitute bannable offense around here? Anyone? Admins? Beuller?

That would be true, except that the story in no way describes your person, and its author has more than once explicitly disclaimed any similarity even if any similarity were possible. In point of fact, no similarity is possible, because I know absolutely nothing about you. Well, except for what you provide here:

Presumably, you would have been so advised before you came back here and said more on the subject. And in actual fact, what you would have been advised by any competent attorney or any other kind of legal professional would have been to have no further contact of any kind with anyone involved.

So, basically, what little I do know about you is this: you're transparently full of shit and have resorted to making childishly rudimentary threats over a story which is a piece of wish fulfillment for someone you dislike and which you imagine pertains to you specifically in some fashion which the author never intended and has more than once disclaimed.

Jack's commission of a story from me is between Jack and me. What Jack does with that story is Jack's business and not mine.

But if you want there to be some business between you and I, well, good luck. Your threats are as void of meaning as it is possible for them to be.
 
Being that I know a little about work-for-hire and reprint rights, I can attest that Saint has extremely firm legal footing. He made it abundantly clear that his work was NOT meant to represent any persons living or dead, refused to name them or change eye color, and also stated in multiple places that he surrendered all rights in perpetuity to jack as the sole owner. Which means all reprint rights in any medium are jack's to do with as he will.

I gotta wonder again about that threat of legal action. Seems like the last time someone talked about lawyers the admins pulled out the banhammer. If I were jack or Saint I'd think about complaining.

Pinky swear. Yes, I know I'm untrustworthy especially in a verbal fight, but I'm serious here. I'm willing to ask mods to unpost the story in it's entirety and I'll never bring it up again between us.
