Top 100 Cyborgs / Robots Chat thread

I took two in one, hope noone minds, I guess it the same as doing two in a row.

THAT'S FINE but let's just count it as one entry since they're both pretty much the same? And that gives us another slot on the list.

no worries

So glad Marvin made the list

I PM'd a certain someone at FB about it. With a link. A week ago.

(So did I.)

I still have quite a few characters I could post but I'm still waiting to see if anyone else posts. I don't want to dominate the thread...but also don't want it slipping off the first page. Iwill post someone TOMORROW no matter what.

I really struggled to choose between Huey and Dewey. They were both special to me as a kid.

(they were both already posted at no. 29)

fuck I checked as well - can you delete them?

IN MY DEFENSE OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS:

In the story, the toymakers misunderstood Santa's order for 600 soldiers @ 1 ft. high, and made 100 soldiers @ 6 ft. high.

They were not mere wind-up toys that marched in place. They were activated by pushing a button in their backs, and they were able to march in formation, disperse to independently rescue the children of Toyland & spear Bogeymen with their muskets, and then reform to drive Silas Barnaby out of Toyland and into the depths of Bogeyland.

Pretty smart for wind-up toys. AND NO KEY!

What next, fucking pinocchio????

You can always sit on his face and tell him to lie. :bigass:

I don't think inanimate objects imbued with consciousness by magic should be posted as they wouldn't fit the intended spirit of the thread, but I haven't seen the film in question.

Please don't put the Magic Mirror from Snow White or Herbie on the list please.

Well that was my point in my explanation -- in the movie anyway, they were constructed by Stan and Ollie to be more sophisticated than your average toy. To have them work by push-button instead of a wind-up key speaks volumes about how much more complex their workings were. It wasn't Santa's or Mother Goose's magic that made them effective in rubbing out the Bogeymen threat.

Anyway it's my job to come up with these out-of-the-box choices, otherwise the list would be too predictable. NYEHH!

Woody and Buzz Lightyear: robots???

Oh bite me.

If Wacky wants to delete it, he can delete it. Otherwise find something else to be talk shit about.

Okay I was a jerk, but SAUSAGEMAN and I kissed and made up via PM. :)

Carry on!
