As I explained when you brought up the subject of my board when I was first made a watchdog, the reason my board is membership-by-approval is that we were trolled, quite thoroughly, years ago by some kook who had a thing for Lucy Lawless. It would have been funny if he hadn't been an obvious psycho. We kept banning him. He kept popping up. And so to avoid the perpetual aggravation that was disrupting the board, we went to membership-by-approval.
Not only are we MBA, but membership is closed because most of the posters have known one another for almost ten years. We've shared lots of personal information. Many don't know you, and they don't give a rat's ass about EI v TK stuff. Many don't even lurk at EI. And if I let in an avowed troll to settle this silly dispute, they'd be understandably upset with me. I have long-standing friendships with people on that board, people who have seen me and one another through difficult times and celebrated good things together, and my first allegiance will always be to them.
So no dice.
However, many of you at TK seem to trust Godeskian. I've asked him if he's willing to tell you whether or not my board is, in his estimation, what you and Spidey repeatedly allege, "a sekreet EI-bashing board." He's agreed to do so. So ask Gode.
And I'm curious about something, too. Y'all at TK repeatedly paint yourselves as an open board: whatever you think or say is out there for all to see. But do you really expect people to buy this b*llsh*t? Can you honestly say there's no behind-the-scenes stuff that some of you engage in? Some of you don't email/PM one another with your private thoughts? Some of you don't have a secret little board or chat forum stowed away somewhere? If not, you are truly rare human beings. If so, then not only are many of you pathologically stuck in junior high, but you're hypocrites as well.

Hell, your obsessive need to harrass ALL cyber-communities is something I don't understand. I wonder how many of you were the kid who was picked on and shut out in grade school or high school? As a result, maybe you see the world divided into cliques--more than that, cliques that spend their time and energy dissing you. So you're compelled to settle old scores.
Well, guess what. The world is divided into cliques. But mature, healthy people accept that fact and aren't threatened by their existence to the point that they obsess on "what are those people saying about me?" There's something truly sad about a bunch of alleged adults who can't move beyond that, who spend so much time and energy trying to tear down, disrupt, harrass communities because they can't grow beyond seeing themselves as perpetually shat-upon outsiders. And there's a bit of self-fulfilling prophesy at work there. Notice that many of you do, in fact, become perpetually shat-upon outsiders? That's honestly sad to me because I've seen a lot of intelligence and actually some goodness in some of the posters from TK. (And I really do need to add, that some non-TK posters at EI are also perpetually aggrieved, oh woe is shat-upon me, types. And certainly not all TK posters fit that bill.) But all in all, it's a very, very f*ck*d-up dynamic that some of you are playing out.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think that we could have worked something out. In fact, we still might be able to. As I said, I had no intention of posting much of anything. We could work it so that I wouldn't post anything at all. Nobody would even know that I was there. Also, I could be sworn to secrecy. As long as it didn't deal with me, or plotting against TK/EI, I wouldn't really say anything. I don't care about "I missed my period" or "so and so gave me herpes" gossup. What is said on the board, stays on the board.
I also take umbrige to your claim that TK has "secret" forums. TK doesn't do that sort of thing. We recognize that, eventually, everthing comes out. That's why I'm not too concerned about the SL, or really getting in there, because, eventually, it will be leaked. Whether if its by a mod leaking it out, or someone else cracking it, I will get to see what's in there eventually. And, I won't have to do anything illegal to get it.
BTW, that same principle applies to your board as well. My goal isn't to pry, or to poke fun at you or your fellow board members there. Its to help you out. Chances are, if I can get in there and verify what you are saying, that your board is harmless to TKers and you don't make fun of all of us there, then that leads to your credibility. I have said, and I will continue to say, that I am fully willing to go to EI and proclaim you and your board innocent of all previous claims of ill will.
In fact, I'm even willing to take it a step further. If you would let me in, I'd be willing to never post in EI's AQG forum again. Ever. That's right, never again. Think about all of the brush fires of late, and almost all of them I have either started, or particpated in. Many of the scandals in EI's and SS's combined history, I have been a part of, one way or another.
This is an offer that will never expire. I'd be willing to keep the door open for this. I'm willing to play, to deal, and then leave if proven wrong. Of course, your very nice letter saying "no", even with all of the benifits and my promise of not trolling you or your board, just proves me right. And, I don't think that's something you want to do. Oh, please. I'm sorry, but just because some shit for brains trolled the site YEARS ago, doesn't justify a total lockdown even to this day. Give me a friggin break. She (or whoever is running the place) just doesn't want new members because they got a click going on. Not like I care though. But it just doesn't sound right with her explanation. I'm starting to feel like a damn mushroom, and I'm tired of being fed bullshit.

It's inevitable. I mean, I would like to see you go and prove yourself wrong (hopefully, I try and hold a few of those people in high regard due to my history with them), but then others will follow.

I don't know how many. Balderdash, I'm pretty sure, is from Specs board. She was around from before. Possibly zwolf, but I'm not sure on him. He's an unpredictable one (but, oh so funny).
My statement was more of a blanket. Sure, there probably is some discussion of EI stuff with interested parties. I wouldn't doubt it. obviously, I use PMs for such stuff as well. I'm jsut telling you how the board evolved, and why it's closed in the first place. It's not something that resulted from TK or EI. So that's a consideration. And I got tired of the clique accusation, because it irks me the wrong way for whatever reason.
And it's just my history with them too. I did some stupid stuff when I was 13 and certain people were involved in helping me in certain ways. They were there.
