Ashleigh Barty beats Elina Svitolina to win maiden WTA Finals title
The title adds to the 23-year-old Australian's lengthy list of achievements in 2019, including her first Grand Slam title at the French Open. She also rose to the No. 1 ranking in the game and is now enjoying her 15th week in the top spot, becoming the first Australian to hold the year-end top spot.

Alabama has been favored in 62 consecutive games and 133 of its past 134 contests. The Crimson Tide were 1-point underdogs at Georgia in 2015. Since 1978, there have been six games in which the No. 1 team in the AP poll was at least a touchdown underdog. The Saskatchewan Roughriders put eight players on the West Division squad, including quarterback Cody Fajardo. Also named were receiver Shaq Evans, offensive lineman Dan Clark, defensive lineman Charleston Hughes, linebackers Solomon Elimimian and Derek Moncrief, safety Mike Edem and punter Jon Ryan. The Calgary Stampeders named to the squad. The Edmonton Eskimos had five players selected.
